Haha the "v-cut" has many different names i have seen "sex cuts" and even "penis cuts" the other day, but the proper name for it is actually called the "adonis belt"
The adonis belt is caused from the obliques and also the lower abs, to get a better adonis belt start training your obliques and lower abs. Makes sence?
Something funny i read in a magazine:
I was reading a mens health magazine that i found at my house a few weeks ago and in it these girls got paid to watch porn to discover which bodypart of a male turns them on the most and the most favourable was the "V-cut" which you talk about lol. Followed by the abs of corse.
YES THEY GOT PAID TO WATCH PORN.

low bf% and heavy compounds like deads and squats and just some regular ab exercises
IMO direct oblique work isnt necessary as it widens the waist and wont do anything to make those lines more visible

A lot of people think of the obliques as only the part that goes over your hip - or adonis belt which causes confusion because the adonis belt is actually the iliac furrow which runs from the iliac crest to the pubis which is a ligament not your obliques. As you know you have three types of obliques - external, internal and transverse.
Your obliques sit on top of the liliac crest so to speak (not over but above), if you look at the origin and insertion of these muscles
The External Oblique - orgin is by fleshy strips from outer surface of lower eight ribs whilst the insertion most of the fibres go into linea alba (the fibrous structure that runs down the middle of your abdomen - which divides your right ab muscles from your left)
The Internal Oblique - orgins are from the lumbodorsal fasica (the fascia which covers the deep muscles of the back), iliac crest and inguinal ligament whilst insertion is the linea alba, pubic crest and the last three ribs.
The Transverse Oblique - orgins are from the inguinal ligament, lumbodorsal fascia, cartilages of last six ribs and the iliac crest whilst insertion is in the linea alba and pubic crest.
a lower bf will help bring out your crest.Perfection in mind, perfect body!

i giver on the hanging leg raises and oblique twists while holding a cable starting down low and twisting upwards on a diagonal range of motion. Focusing completely on using the core muscles. This will work multiple areas of your obliques. It workin for me

in my experience low bodyfat will bring out your abs but only heavy core/ab training will bring out that V shape. hence skinny mofos rarely have it.

grab a dumbell or plate 10-25lbs. hold in front of you and do side to side twists followed by front squats with the weight out in front of you...this will target your abs and obliques fairly well. Make sure to keep your core tight during the movement and the weight away from your body.

Low BF% will give you a v-cut. Ty training your abs once a week, thats all you really need, because they will only become noticeable when you start to cut.
