February 28
Legs & Abs
BB Squats - building my way back up slowly
Warm-up
180x8
180x8
180x8
180x8
165x12
Good stuff. Not too hard. 5lb increase each time until I stall.
Form was good, no issues.
Calf Raises - using a step
+65x18/16
+65x16/11
+65x14/X
My fackin toe on my right foot is still really sore when I bend it. Can't do calf raises properly.
Decline Situps
+35x14
+35x12
+35x10
BWx12
Abs were killing me.
Front Squats
125x3x8
First time doing these since I tweaked my back with them.
Went light just to ease back in plus my shoulder was tender from yesterday's therapy. Front squats weren't the best idea for the shoulder.
Felt fairly easy on the legs though. Gotta go heavier.
Walking Lunges
BWx3x8
These were a treat.
Tried doing them weighted but my balance was all off and my left knee had started to act up by this point.
Planks
A couple for like 90 seconds.
Fair enough.
Nothing amazing, but it was good.
PS: I think those Fat Gripz are bullsht. I put them on while doing back squats and I didn't feel any extra pump in my legs whatsoever.

Thanks, Mike. I've had a few physical "incidents" in the past so I'm climbing my way back up while staying injury free.
I know you must mire my squat numbers, but don't worry, you'll get strong like me one day. Just keep training hard.

For those who don't know, the gentleman above is one seriously strong kunt.
Take my squat weights and multiply them by 2. Then you'll have what he does.

That's what it's all about. Can't afford any more injuries. Gettin too old.
inb4 Andrew negs me.
More like 405.
But I'll start being happy when I have a 300+lbs 1RM.
But to be honest, at this point I'm not too concerned about numbers. As long as I'm making some progress and getting a bit juicier, I'm happy.
Although being able to lift some heavy ass weight would please me.
lol
I must be doing it wrong then.
Will re-attempt next time.

March 2
Chest
Early morning (10am ), fasted training today.
Was in a bit of a hurry so had to keep it concise.
Incline BB Press
165x12
165x9
165x7
145x9
Was a little weary of how I would do since I'm not used to training in the morning.
Increased by 5lbs since last time anyway. Only lost 1 rep on the 2nd set. So I'll take that for now.
DB Flyes
37.5x14
37.5x13
37.5x13
DB Lateral Raises
25x13
25x12
25x12
Strict form with these.
Incline DB Press (higher incline)
60x13
60x12
60x11
55x11
These felt fairly good.
Increased weight since last time and will do again next week.
Push ups
13 reps
Shoulder feels decent. Still a little too tight for my liking.
Pec issue is a little bit better.Architect, Marine Biologist, Importer-Exporter, Latex Manufacturing.

March 3
Back
Deadlifts
First time doing a proper deadlift session in almost 4 weeks.
185x3
205x3
225x3
245x3
265x2
285x1, 1, 1
245x6, 6
225x8, 8
Not a bad first time back.
The 285 went up without much struggle. In my books, that's pretty good. (especially since I haven't DL'ed in almost a month)
I belted up for the 285. Once every couple of weeks I will try some "heavy" singles/doubles.
One Arm Lat Pulldowns
14 reps
13 reps
13 reps
DB Shrugs
75x18
75x17
75x16
75x15
Heavier next time.
Landmine Rows
Bar+70 x 3 x 12
Lying Leg Raises
20 reps
20 reps
18 reps
Good session. Felt like I did some decent work.
Lower back feels pretty beat up.
Italian buffet for dinner. Pasta, pizza, roast chicken, beef ribs, and some other goodies.
Needless to say, plenty of calories were consumed.
No pics cuz I was out with my parents.
Not sure what they would think if I told them "I'm taking pictures of my food to post online for my e-friends to see".Last edited by viennafat; 03-03-2013 at 05:33 PM.

Thanks, Mike.
Finally was able to pull and not have to worry about my back.
Thanks, big guy.
My traps are killing me today. Feels great.
I just started doing the 1 arm pulldowns the last month or 2. Not related to my back issue.
I find they're good at isolating the lats if you do them strict.
As funny as it sounds, the people I interact it with on here are more important than some real life friends. We got more in common.
Thanks, Musid.
I'll probably ease into increasing the weights. Maybe 315 in a couple of weeks.Architect, Marine Biologist, Importer-Exporter, Latex Manufacturing.

I have been living a lie....
I have to get this off my chest and come clean to all you on here.
As I laid in bed last night thinking about my EZ Curl Bar and our relationship, I had this bad feeling in my gut.
Something told me that there was something wrong with it. It was 3am and I just couldn't shake this feeling.
I went down to my gym lair, grabbed the bar and just examined it. I caressed it and tried to figure out what may be wrong.
On my way back to bed, I passed a scale. With this image in the back in my mind, I decided to weigh the EZ Curl bar.
I was sure I had done this before and it measured the standard 25lbs.
As I stepped on the scale, I feared the worse....
The digital numbers kept flipping up and down for what seemed like hours before finally settling on the final weight.
I re-weighed multiple time to confirm what I was seeing.
The bar only weighs 20lbs!
The above story is 100% srs.
notsrs
But the part about the bar weighing 20lbs and not 25 is correct.
Have to subtract 5lbs off any weights where I used the EZ bar.
Please be merciful with your negs.Last edited by viennafat; 03-05-2013 at 05:59 PM.

Poundstone Curls (using Fat Gripz) SS with Resistance Band Tri Pushdowns
Bar x 13 / 13 reps

Left wrist was bugging me so I kept the curl reps low. But using the fat gripz made those quite a bit tougher.

Great work the last week Tom! Easy 285s on the deadlifts is really good news and you'll be repping those 3pps soon. Incline BB and DB benching is really good as well and it sounds like the shoulder is getting better with the therapy.
Bummer about the EZ bar ..... now you'll have to subtract half an inch from your arms as well"Better to wear out than rust out!"
Squat 165kg/363lbs
Deadlift 190kg/418lbs

You're one cheeky kunt.....
Latest numbers are up to date.
Thanks, man.
Thanks, Andrew.
I'm feeling pretty good all-around (knock on wood).
I have another therapy appointment scheduled today.
