    Help My Cereal Addiction

Since im in college and live a pretty hectic life (Full time Job, Ironman training, school, gf, etc..) its hard to find time to get a full meal in or prepare one. Sometimes i just want food NOW and i turn to cereal, usually frosted mini wheats. But i know with this im consuming way to many CHO's for my macros and need to cut back.

What can I do about cereal options that will fix / help my addiction. What kind of cereal should i get (brand / type)? Should i just cut it out of my diet all together?

    inb4 IIFYM

Thanks for the help or suggestions

Sometimes i just want food NOW
Nuts, peanut butter sandwiches, canned fish sandwiches, and milk are all very quick, and have somewhat different macro profiles from super-sweetened cereal and milk.

Consider cooking pasta, rice, beans, chicken, hard-boiled eggs or whatever in bulk when you have a few hours to spare. It doesn't take long to microwave up a meal that fits your macros if you have a lot of options in your fridge.

As someone else mentioned: controlling the portions is key. Also, as long as you eat more than just cereals you should be fine.

Words can not explain how much I love these.

But yeah, self control and portion control. Why cut out the things you love?

You are training for an Ironman and you are worried about your CHO intake? What do your macros look like?

I'm a triathlete and I maintain with about 180g prot, 90g fat, 300+g cho daily. I easily fit cereals into my macros daily. Yesterday included selections like Peanut Butter Crunch and Cookie Crisp :-)

Bro I'm cutting with cereals daily, fit them in your macros. Also, if you are training for Ironman than I would not worry about carbs

Just set a fixed amount you can have each day, and learn some self control!?
