    Anyone else try Arnold's 50 pullups on back day

    Says that at the start of your back training to do as many reps as you can at a time until you hit 50, did that today, harder than I thought it would be. Back was pumped. Anyone else try it?

    This sounds pretty good, did you then struggle a lot with the rest of your workout? i.e. a lot lower weights than you normally do

    I always do this, except weighted pull-ups now. Back has gained so much width from weighted pull-ups and rack chins.

    Why don't you try it before criticising it?
    Put a lot of stress on the muscle till it's exhausted, then you don't have to use as much weight for more exercises, still producing the same result.

    I'm not a scientist or anything, but it does make sense.

    yea i used to be able to do it in like 6-8 sets. Now i just focus on form on pullups keeping wide and using more back than biceps
