When do you start loosing weight doing cardio? Is it different on each machine? And how fast do you need to be going?

I thought that moderate intensity burned fat and higher intensity burned carbohydrates? I mean, high intensity still burns fat, but fat burning is supposed to be a slow process, right? That's why there are different zones (hr-60%-fat, hr-80%-cardio)

^ This
Cardio paired with actually trains/builds muscles. It won't give you massive tree-trunk legs like massive squats and deadlifts will ... it's like any other exercise in that it only trains to the perceived level of need. Most people will see muscle growth with a good cardio routine. A veteran bodybuilder might see losses in girth/lifts if their cardio gets in the way of their workout routine.
But bear in mind that few people who go to the gym chronically over time will qualify as "veteran bodybuilders".
