You should be happy to be an ecto, eat whatever the fuk you want and not gain any fat but still put on muscle. I've put on 25lbs since last summer without any visible fat at all. This is with me doing boxing training and being unable to work legs a lot too.

i look barely avg IRL but thanks
Frequent meals is the best answer
eat a large meal, then chase it with a few glasses of water
give it 1 - 1.5 hrs to digest a bit then force down a handfull of trail mix and a protein shake
stuff like that
also patience
1lb/month is great progress, though it may feel slow

I had a friend who was 6'3" 130 and he always whined about not being able to gain, i just kept telling him to eat more, and he finally listened. He found a calorie level that works for him, its as simple as that. He makes the same foods everyday so he doesn't have to think about it, I wouldn't be able to handle that but he doesn't seem to mind. Every day he eats:
-6 whole eggs and two pieces buttered whole wheat toast
-weight gainer shake mixed with whole milk (1200 cals)
-a "hotdish" I guess you could call it, which consists of two boxes of macaroni and cheese, two cans of chili with beans, and two cans of tuna all mixed together... gross, I know but comes out to around 3,500 calories
That's just the staples, he eats plenty of other foods to get some variety in there as well, drinks a ton of chocolate milk, etc. He's 180lbs now after 6 months on this diet, and still has not visibly increased body fat. Im extremely jealous of ectomorphs.^^^()()GERMANIC CREW()()^^^
