Fat Burner Safe for Woman with Crohn's
Hello ladies this is on behalf of my mother,
-She is ~5'5, 155lbs and looking to lose fat.
She has Crohn's and was wondering if taking a fat burner would be bad for a woman with her condition.
Your input is much appreciated!
EDIT: srry forgot to put in question mark in the title...

My mom has Crohn's too, as well as high blood pressure, and she has sworn that she'll never use any supplements (she works out 3 times a week). All I can say is that a fat burner might not be safe for your mom as it might further irritate her stomach and cause unpleasant or perhaps even dangerous side effects. She may want to talk to her doctor first, because that is really the safest option.

I won't come right and say "all fat burners are a scam" but i will say that unless your nutrition and exercise program is absolutely spot on perfect and you're just looking for something that MIGHT give you that extra 1% of results they're pretty much worthless.
if you / your mother / anyone else out there wants to manage their weight and body composition successfully LONG TERM they need to invest an hour or two to read up on nutrition and get an understanding of the calorie & macronutrient contents of various foods, then armed with this education they need to make better meal choices consistently.
bottom line if you are consuming too many calories no amount of fat burners or other supplements will make up for it.

Thanks you very much for the responses!
I will be sure to pass over the info. I think the fat burner was appealing to her since it seems like almost an "easy solution."

I think it would be on the safest side to check with her doctor. I wish her luck with all her goals and oh yea REPPS for taking care of your mother

+1 on the reps for taking care of Mama. However, I'd say skip the fat burners. Get the diet and exercise regime in check. No use putting unknown chemicals/herbs/whatever into her body and GI system when it it already vulnerable/sensitive. Just my 2 cents

At these stats no fat burner is necessary.

I reccomend Advocare's Catalyst....it is a muscle protector that was made specifically for the olypic wrestling team to help them retain muscle while they cut fat...maybe get some and show your doctor? Or contact the company directly and ask if its safe...ALL Advocare's products were developed by an actual team of physicians, good luck to you!

Appreciate the new posts as well!
For sure she will first:
- Get a sound routine and diet
- Actually follow through with that routine and diet
- Ask a doctor before she considers a fat burner
