    Glycemic index

I've never kept track of glycemic index in the foods I eat. Do I have to start worrying about it, or just keep counting calories/protein?

Absolutely not. Just keep track of macros.

(Unless you are diabetic or have some sort of insulin resistance, perhaps)
All of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone.

Whew! We saved one quick and early. OP, now with all of the extra time that you saved from not worrying about the glycemic index, head up to the stickies and have a read

At just over 100 pounds, you probably need to start eating significantly more than you currently are. Probably double your protein intake, but that is just a shot in the dark, since I don't know how much you are ingesting now.
