It's daily intake of nutrients that matters, not one meal (or shake).

Ideally, you would always consume whole foods, but if you can't for some reason, you can use whey protein shakes which are, after all, just a micronutrient sparse processed food.

if you can't interrupt your sleep cycles to wake up at 3AM so you can down a quick protein shake to avoid catabolism, keeping one next to your bed so you have one when you wake up is your best bet.

Dude, that's so primitive that I feel shame for you. Don't you know the entire fitness community has moved on to IV delivery of overnight closed window anabolic whey-less casein infusions?

Do they sell this stuff at the same place I can get my necessary Glutamine and BCAA supplementation? Gotta fill the holes in my diet with something, why not money.

How can you answer the same questions over and over every day? I truly admire your patience and persistence. Please tell me you at least have some of the longer responses copy/pasted...

Yea...if he mixes it with water.

He should at least mix it it with milk, throw in some oats, a banana, some peanut butter...now he's in business. Though he's most likely trying to lose weight, so this will all seem counterproductive.

May I turn your question around..

Why might it not be ? After all - it's just protein. Nutritionally it's roughtly equivalant to eggwhite.

    "Is it alright?"

Out of total curiosity, what the hell do you think could happen to you that would make it not alright?
    My guilty pleasure: excessive cardio.

Progress towards the 1000 lb club: 945/1000
Bulking until I hit 1000. I don't care if it takes a 40 pound weight gain. No more pussyfooting around.
