6 week ideal bodyfat percentage loss

Right now i am about 12 percent body fat. What do you think I could lose down to in 6 weeks?

I think i could lose 2 or 3 percent very quickly from just being stricter than normal. After that I would have to continue to be strict the whole 6 weeks to see more percentage points drop.

It takes 8-10 weeks of solid dieting to go from 12% to 8-9% so in 6 weeks you should expect to be at 10-11%.

Well I understand that 2 percent a month is ideal to keep as much muscle on as possible. But lets say I am willing to give up some muscle in favor of cutting more quickly. I kind of think 7 percent is possible.

At what percent do you normally become much more vascular and cut up? 8 or 9 percent?

Usually 9-10% you start becoming defined.

    7% a month? Good one...

If you changed "percent" to "pounds" I could agree with you easily... Even as big as I am and as much as I have to lose, 2 percent is a BIG undertaking...

Edit: Ahhh, in 6 weeks... 7 percent loss would still most likely be unachievable starting at 12 percent.

Why would you EVER be ok with losing some muscle mass just to cut down on the body fat percentage faster? 12% ain't bad ... slow and steady and get what you can done in 6 weeks.

It's just a shame ... a scrawny little 6 pack and 8-9% body fat ain't the end of the road. Fat loss rate potential is extremely fast compared to muscle growth potential.

The hard part starts AFTER you reach your fat loss goals, no sense putting yourself behind the 8 ball by sacrificing muscle for a scrawny pack.

Well in 8 weeks I went from 14% bodyfat to 6-7% bodyfat whilst running the keto diet, however it was quite the deficit, I was in the gym in the morning doing my cardio before breakfast and in the afternoon.. following intensive weight training 5x a week.. But I guess everyone's different and it depends on how hard you go at it I suppose.. :]

^ I'm extremely skeptical ... and I'd be interested in seeing a 16yo who's at "6-7%" bodyfat in the first place. Hitting those levels of body fat at your age is incredibly difficult as the vast majority o 16yos aren't carrying enough muscle to make it realistically possible.
