Smile New to this, need some guidance please

I have been working on getting in shape and getting the body I want. I want to gain muscle and lower fat. I have lost a decent amount of weight and I am pretty happy with my body overall. I want to gain muscle and lose the remaining fat I have. Do I start bulking and then go back to cutting, or do I need to work on cutting until I have little to no body fat before I work on bulking? There is so much out there and it's a little overwhelming. What are some good routines for both cutting and bulking. I greatly appreciate any help. Thanks

If you're relatively new to training it's possible to do both, but it'd be a slow process. You're likely better off choosing one goal. Do you want to cut fat or build muscle more? If you're uncomfortable with the amount of fat you have, work on cutting to a body fat you're comfortable with then switch to building muscle. If you're already "okay" with the body/fat you have then by all means eat at a slight surplus and lift heavy and worry about cutting the fat later. There's really no right answer, just personal preference.
    Good luck OP

I am 5'2". I just started so I am trying to figure out what weights and exercises to do. I don't have a barbell yet so I have just been using 15# dumbells to start.

I would probably start with a cut and then bulk. Since you're new to lifting, you'll be able to put on some muscle in a deficit anyway, so I would go ahead and lose a bit of fat and then reverse course and start bulking.

Pics would help, but I would cut down to at least 120lbs, aiming for around 1lb/week weight loss and then when you're ready to bulk, aim to gain 1-2lbs/month.
