Cedric is a stellar frontman. Since I have a bias in favor of prog rock, I'm gonna go ahead and say that he did better in The Mars Volta, particularly on The Bedlam in Goliath.

All I can say is A7X Bass's guitar mix is allways too weak IMO.(bass players know this).

They are Undeniably a tight ass band!

Minus the new album Ive always wanted to hear more BASS though!!

and they lose a point for wearing make up (0srs)

This is mostly true...they do have some songs where the bass is prevalent though.

I've never really mind though.

Their bass was never an important piece of their music....as a bassist; he does not stand out....

They never looked up to Motley Crue....they did it right by selling themselves to the Hot Topic crowd....but like I said earlier...their two major influnces were Metallica and Pantera......NOT Motley Crue...

I just wasn't aware that they started getting tattoos in their early teens to "fit the look".

As for the wearing make-up they never did it to look gothy or trendy. they did it because it really does, believe it or not, go with the theme of StST. Dark, the appearance of death, ect ect..

between some album on a tour they were moderate with tattoos, and then by the time the next one came out they were sleeved up and had a completely different look due to how they wanted to portray themselves like motley crue did with a look. i'm not just randomly saying this. i read it in a magazine interview where they were talking about their tattoos and how they got covered with tattoos so quick etc. i just think its lame when bands change how they look to appeal, instead of just doing it with your music. no one gives a sh*t if you're not wearing makeup and fingerless gloves.

ahhhhhhhh I see I remember that interview. They(jimmy/brian) were actually referring to their previous band "pinkly smooth" NOT avenged sevenfold.
