Oh, you mean like metabolism? The thing that differs immensely from person to person? Yeah, good luck trying to find an average buddy.
Phil looks too lean year round IMO to process 9K per day, thats what i was meaning. Agree also Phil is not a 300lb Ronnie. Look how huge and bloated Yates looked on his 6K max per day. Phil would have to be burning off so many calories per hour to stay as lean as he does on 9k.

To the average person who might be on the fence that pros use gear, having them eat a lot of food makes it more "believable" that they just take legal supps."Oh, these guys just eat a lot of clean food and take muscletech products", not " Oh, these guys only eat 4000 cals a day?...maybe they do use". Also, having them eat absurd amounts of carb and protein and calories will make people think "Oh, I can't afford all that food....but I can hit these macros with some why protein!!"

Shut your mouth. You weigh 180lbs at 20% bf. You know nothing about bodybuilding or this sport so shut the **** up. You will never step on stage so don't pretend you know what pros eat.
Seriously.. everyone here needs to shut the hell up that doesn't believe it. Most people who don't believe it are small as hell and don't even know a top 20 national guy, let alone pros. There is a reason why Phil Heath is 270 12% bf and most of you are 180lbs. In before omg its steroids and genetics.. how about you shut the hell up and stop eating like a girl.

The classic "I'm bigger than you so your argument is invalid" or "you're less than 200lbs so shut up". Nice.......
Phil might hit those numbers once in a blue moon, but not everyday. I don't care if Phil himself comes in and here and says so.

I've been 210 at 5'7. I'd like to see some pics of you at 5'8 255. I could bulk to 255 too, but I'd be a fat tub of goo.

I'm claiming to know anything at all about what an enhanced bb'er should be eating. However, I do have some common sense, I understand that 95% of what is in those mags is complete BS, and Phil isn't a 300lb mass monster. Like I said, I have no problem believing that he hits 9,000 ONCE IN A BLUE MOON. His averages are no where near that.

Pretty decent conditioning actually if you're really 255lbs in that pic. Weight is very hard to judge from pics alone so I'll just have to take your word for it. It doesn't change my opinion about Phil's diet though.

Haha another thread of Matt with his his pictures why am I not surprised?
Dude you look great but there was no need to do that. You probably did this like 10 times and I m here since just 09
Whatever, I believe Phil is eating that much. I am a natural who hit 190 mark this year and there were days when I ate 5-6 K and I would go to bed wake up and take a dump. I would lose pretty much all that I gained the night before. I have a quick metabolism I guess because if I lose one or two meals I lose about 1-2 pounds. I don't know it might be slow too. You have to compare it to other people and my roommates don't have that much of a fast metabolism.

always in on SRT
id believe it if phil himself said it.
i was eating 4k cals a day when i was around 180 and have never eaten less than 4500/day since i hit 200 lbs. like the guys said before, metabolic rate varies. theres no set amount of calories that everyone can eat.
im around 215 right now and maybe 15% bf and i manage to hit 5k most days. phil has 100+lbs more lean mass than me. plus the gear and other anabolics. i have no problem believing it.

These numbers are absolutly and completely believable.
Not sure if you guys know who this is, but a man names Winston Roberts is a part time trainer at my gym. He was a former pro and is now an ifbb judge. He told me he judges the Olympia as well. He also claims to know most of the current top guys. So whenever I see him we always have a good convo about bbing. I asked him about the pros diets and what they are like.
First off he said, any diet you see in a mag that claims guys like jay and Phil are eating 4000-5000kcal a day is a joke. They eat double that. A meal containing 1000kcal can be quite standard for most of these guys, and most of them eat anywhere between 7-10 times a day, depending on the pro.
For those of you who actually think guys like jay eat 4000kcal, even when dieting you gotta get down to earth. These guys walk around at almost 270-290lbs under 10% year around. You actually think that's possible eating 4000kcal?? Lol I eat 4000cals and still get hungry. If the pros where actually to post they're diets your jaws would drop. Most people won't be able to fathom the amount of food they eat.
Anyways, that's what I've been told, by someone who knew Ben and Joe weider well. I'll take his word over anyones here. Believe it or not, it's the truth.

the amount of GH in their system + the slin ( that while on you MUST eat)
allow them to do so, and im not talking about the grams of all other kind of hormones that make it even easier to consume that crazy amount of food.
so that's kind of B.S to write down the exact amount of cals per day, because one day it might be 8k and on the another it might be 11k
and that's why they can eat up to 300+ carbs on the week b4 contest and still getting paper skin dry and body fat at 4-3%.

Take away the cheat meal which isn't every day and he's just under 7,000 cals. Take off the muscletech supps(which he may or may not use) and he's in the 6,0000 calorie range.
