i recently made a thread about squatting low bar vs high bar and found out my body type prefers to squat high bar for maximum power output, so with that information i am wondering whether sumo deadlifting or conventional deadlifting would suit my body strengths. please help?

It's hard to say. If you have long arms then conventional may be the way to go. If you've got shorter arms then you may wanna try sumo. Sumo is gonna require more hip and hamstring stength. Conventional is gonna require more from your lower back. Everyone is built differently so you'll just have to experiment and see. I'm 5'7 200lbs with pretty short arms and legs. Sumo seems to be the most optimal way for me to pull.

Whatever you are more comfortable with. I switched to sumo to try it out one time and was hooked. I also got my conventional to within 20 lbs of my best sumo though so its really a personal preference unless you are trying to break records right now. I am more comfortable and feel stronger in the sumo position, but I can still get stornger in the conventional style as well.
