If we evolved from monkeys, then why do monkeys still exist?

First of all, I do believe in evolution. But I also have a few questions. Form vs Function is too good to be true. For instance, the eye is a complex structure. It has both a form, and a function. It was clearly designed by an all powerful God.

How can you evolutionary theorists sit there, and feel comfortable knowing that there is a chance that God is Real. And that Jesus is coming back.

Another question: If you believe in evolution too, then are you a dumbass for not being an athieist?

Does anybody know any famous athiests that are also good people (for instance, Tom Hanks or Robin Williams).
    GAME 6 + 7 = BOTH IN MIAMI.

Heat win Game 6 (they haven't lost a back to back in 6 months)

SO FAR: each team has won 3, lost 3...

SO NOW IT COMES DOWN TO GAME 7 (IN MIAMI). LOL if you think SAS would win a GAME 7 in MIAMI.

MIAMI = 2013 World NBA Champions!

Because we didnt evolve from monkeys. We share a common ancestor with monkeys. So there is this monkey-like creature thousands of years ago, and from that creature branched off monkeys and humans, put simply. Youre taking it too literally.

    Try again creationist phag.

BTW I dont give two craps about if you believe in evolution or not. You have no clue on the subject so you should have no opinion also.

Pick up a biology book, then form an opinion.

as everyone else has said, we had a common ancestor with monkeys, where we split somewhere the evolutionary chain. Monkey's are still around because they are still genetically viable i.e. they can rip a human to shreds, they aren't as smart, but are really strong and therefore, can still exist in a competitive environment.

the human eye isn't that great compared to say, a spiders eye, or anything else that can see the entire spectrum (eg. infrared blah blah), or owls/birds that have a 360 degree view.

Our eye is also susceptible to damage, eg, cataracts, breakdown of tissue, colour blindness etc. so it's actually not that great, but it's still really good

If you can't understand the primates have an evolution chain you're stupid, Apes today are the final evolution stage of monkeys the next would be human who is the top of the evolutionary chain.

But it's pretty hard to be Christian when you believe in evolution.

Though most still attempt to pull it off.

Because religion isn't about answers, it's about blind faith. Every man wants to blindly believe. (not sarcastic.)

You don't believe in evolution because you don't understand the process of evolution.

Evolution and the idea of a God are not mutually exclusive ideas.
    One can believe in both.
Some religions can't exist with the idea of evolution, but the idea of a God in and of itself can exist with evolution.
