    no sleep, under maintenance and gaining weight?

    I just started a new job last week and my sleep schedule is really messed up. I have only been getting 5 hours a night. I am eating 600 under maintenance. Pro=220, carbs=180, fat=38. I lift 4 days a week, do hit cardio two days a week and have been doing liss for 15 min after lifting and in the past week and a half, I have gained like 2.5lbs. Any1 have ne insight?

    Lifestyle and routine changes can make HUGE differences in your weight. If you're confident in your macros then wait it out. 5 hrs of sleep a night means you're up and additional 3 hrs drinking and consuming. Also the stress from that can reek havoc. GET MORE REST.

    hey bro your doing that comp in NJ right? depending on how my show goes on the 7th i may do that one too. Yo dont worry about the weight. I was going through this too. I was crazy stressed out, couldnt sleep and wasnt losing weight. Your stressed out man, thats all. Also i would bump up cardio. Right now Im doing 30min fasted a.m. 15 min p.w. , 10min p.w. and another 30 min at night.

    I would agree that your body is most likely responding to stress. You havent gained fat....your probably holding some extra water. If you were losing steadily at these macros, then i would leave them there, relax and get some more rest. Lowering calories and adding cardio during a time of stress (job changes, etc) will only exacerbate the problem in the long run.

    If you dont think stress is the issue, I would examine how your lifestyle has changed with the new job. When I change jobs in the summer time, my calorie expenditure goes up a lot.....so I add calories. If you start a job that is more sedentary you may need to decrease cals.

    Thax for the input guys. Its just very frustrating\depressing. This is my first real job, so I guess I am stressed. Ill keep my macros the same for the week and c how its goes. I am doing the beyond nutrition natural in burlington nj. I only hjave 4 weeks from sat, so not too much time left.
