    this is for a school related project, not for personal development.
    need 3 exercises that hit lower and upper body. so deadlift count? i have power cleans down. i need 2 more. any more ideas?

    Pretty much all the Olympic lifts.
    Strength + Speed = Power

    If you never fail, you aren't truly pushing yourself to the limit. If you never push yourself to the limit, how do you know what you're truly capable of?

    You should check out the men's health big book of exercises. They have a whole section on total body movements. Heres a few:

    Barbell Front Squat to Push press
    Thrusters
    Barbell straight leg deadlift to row
    Turkish get-up
    Barbell high pull
    barbell hang pull
    Wide overhead grip split squat (it's in the quad section of the book but since your arms are holding it overhead I thought I would include)
    Burpees
    Dumbbell hammer curl to press to lunge
