I think you would do really well on a specialized routine with focusing on your limbs only with the use of a lot of compound movements. I know it sounds crazy, but that is just my opinion. I would also not focus on a lot of strength lifting with the compound movements. Just my 0.02 cents.

You kind of read my mind. I've spoke about this with Berto and that's kind of the game plan. I'm going to keep training for strength for the next couple months till my March 24th meet then we're going to go the hypertrophy route. What exactly did you have in mind?

I think sheiko is great and everything but not always necessary for everyone as far as bodybuilding goes unless we are kind of stuck with certain aspects. Take what I say with a grain of dingleberries, but just an idea. I think it will be a total mind frig but I think not focusing on core exercises that you need to support the core as much would be ideal and a lot different rep range with the main compound lifts than you do now, but maybe not as much sets/focus with them either. I think a version of the power hypertrophy split with a single day focused on your weak area, which it has always been arms for me so I always hit arms on mine. Keeping the frequency might be a good idea, and some power movements on the power days, but not very high volume. Then really focus on hypertophy training and high volume with low volume on the compound lifts. Maybe some light high rep squats, hacksquat or leg press or split squats, leg extensions, and a lot of lunges with some stiff legged deadlifts, legs curls seated and or laying. Just an idea. Honestly I think it would be the best appraoch and still a dcent one for gaining some strength wise, but as far as competitive bodybuilding goes if that is your goal, I would focus a lot more on training the limbs and less core/compound lifts, but yes that would suck. LOL
On a side note, I love the power/hypertrophy split with a weak point day extra.Team Norton

Notes
- As you can see I decided to hop into a deload a week early. I was experiencing a lot of the tell tale symptoms of fatigue (loss of appetite, loss of motivation, loss of strength, sleep issues, cold-like symptoms after every workout) and I've been at this long enough to know when I need a break. My elbow has been bothering me a lot lately but surprisingly it's more during pull stuff than pressing stuff. This week will be pretty light and easy in the gym but I'll probably be doing more GPP in adddition to a lot of LISS and stretching/foam rolling. No back squatting or deadlifting this week either.
- My next split will be WSBBish: Lower ME/Upper ME/GPP Day/Lower DE/Upper DE/GPP Day. Sunday will be a complete rest day.
- Christmas was awesome. I got a Power Rack and some new KBs! I used some gift money to purchase 350lbs of bumper plates as well.
- I'm ready to hop back on the diet train and get lean!"Nutrition for powerlifting: If you are serious about it, you will eat f*cking everything and get strong as $hit." - HamburgerTrain

Good to see you took your deload when you felt the need for it rather than just when you had it scheduled. I think the same thing is a pretty good idea for refeeds.
Also, just noticed that quote by Peter Wason in your sig. Motherfunking genius quote lol! Will defs be using that in the near future"Dont rush to get grown, drive slow homie"

'Sup guys! Hope the holidays are treating everybody well. I've been deloading this week and implementing a little GPP here and there. I busted out some TRX Training on Tuesday and today I hit up some Tabata KB swings with my 50lber. I'm looking forward to finishing this agonizingly boring week up and starting WSBB to start 2012 off.
My weight is right around 200lbs which means I gained ~6lbs over the past 6 weeks of my diet break. Normally this might be a cause to panic for some but I want to put something in perspective here. Coming off my contests last year I gained 36lbs in the same time span. o_O
I've got my new macros from Berto and they're much nicer than I expected: 265/175/80. Higher protein was my suggestion but Berto thinks I'm the best I've ever been metabolically. I plan on cutting aggresively for the next two months and hope to drop 10-12lbs of fat in that time. My diet break benefited me greatly psychologically because now I'm ready to give 100% to this cut. Then after that it's time to improve with a slow and steady gaining phase over the next 10-12 months.
Since Billy seems to be happy and busy, I'm going to start a new solo log dedicated to following my improvement phase over the course of 2012. I'll kick that bad boy off on New Year's Eve with a 2011 retrospective.
Hope everybody is doing good, see you in the new log!"Nutrition for powerlifting: If you are serious about it, you will eat f*cking everything and get strong as $hit." - HamburgerTrain
