So ever since I was 13 or so I've been kind of chubby. At my worst point I was 215 lbs at 6 feet tall my end of my sophomore year in high school. As my senior year is coming to an end I'm 6'2" and 195 lbs thanks to high school basketball. I consider myself a fit guy but I've always carried around extra weight. So now with no sports going on I've decided its time to really concentrate on lifting and cutting this extra weight.
I'm planning on cutting at 2000 calories a day. My fasting will start at 9 p.m. and go till 1 p.m. I figure logging my info here will help me. Here are a couple pictures of my starting point and Ill update weekly or bi-weekly depending on results.
First picture is no flex, second flex. Any estimates on BF?

"Everyone thinks they're on their way to single digit body fat as soon as they see a blurry four-pack in the right lighting.Your final body weight at 5-6% will be a lot less than what you think.Talk to me again when you get in contest shape." I'd be willing to say that 95% of people on this forum accomplish nothing in years, don't be one of those people. It's sad, they seem to have the knowledge many don't but can't utilize it.

How are you calculating it? there are several ways to calculate it, emma-leigh has a thread in the nutrition section hxxp://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=121703981 (change the XX to TT in HXXP)its a very good read. Some people suggest yourbodyweight x 15 = calories, but its all about personal preference. everyones body works differently, due whats best for you by trial and error. start with 2500 calories intake then work your way down if you dont see weight loss. hopes that helps
do i even lift? no :(

Well today was a successful start. Weighed in at 189.0 this morning on my digital scale, which I think is on the low side. But it shouldnt really matter if I only weight myself on that scale to track weight loss.
Lifted today so Im giving myself 2500 calories on lifting days, might cut that down to 2200. Counted everything and macros break down to:
Calories: 2480
Fat: 84
Carbs: 223
Protein: 217
So not too bad but Id like to lower fat and carbs and up the protein some more. Broke fast at 1 and am starting it again at 9. Felt pretty good today and the 16 hour fast is pretty easy for me so far!
Any suggestions or comments appreciated!

Worked out legs today. Not too bad just didn't workout very long so I tried cutting my calories a little. Macro breakdown for today:
Calories~ 2200
Fat~ 85g
Carbs~180g
Protein~ 180g
Once again I could really up my protein and drop carbs a little but only day 2! So Ill keep adjusting my diet! Any input appreciated!

Thanks guys! Well as far as eating more calories, I'm having a hard time as it is even eating enough calories that I have been. I'm trying but eating that much clean food is harder than I thought. Ill see how I'm doing with the numbers I'm at after a week or two then check out my progress and adjust if necessary.
