Looking for a post workout carb

Absolutely hate dextrose, so disgusting. Was using vitargo for a while but it's quite pricey. Can anyone recomment a fairly inexpensive alternative?
    Thanks.

Why not just buy the Gatorade powder and have a cup of Gatorade. Has dextrose in it, high GI. Carbo Gain is very cheap.

Low fart pop tarts, any kids cereal plain or mixed with non-fat milk, anything else along these lines. I used to use gainers PWO or buy a protein powder and mix in dextrose but now I eat my carbs PWO

Hoping you aren't serious. Nutrient timing is irrelevant, along with the anabolic window theory.

I also noticed I digest my shakes much better when I eat something with them as opposed to a protein shake mixed with a powder carb.

I used Carbo Gain for a while but switched to grinding up quick oats and throwing that in my shake. It's cheap and effective. My gains are just as good if not better and overall I feel better after having a post workout shake with oats compared to the malto.

Dextrose is just plan glucose which what I use. If it's too sweet try Maltodextrin which is another polymer of glucose.

thanks for all the suggestions, although I am looking for a powder, not proper food - something I can just mix in with whey. I get that bananas and oats is probably the better option but hey, call me lazy or a broscientist or whatever ha.

OP, even with your idea about using a powder, it isn't ,uch work to use a coffee grinder and, say on the weekend, grind up enough oats into powder for the week. Then you can just use a scooper and add to your shakes.

May even be able to just use oat flour and not have the mess of grinding.

I may actually do this snorkelman. One last question. One cup of ground oats would not equal one cup of normal, would it?

I mean a cup as in the cups used to measure out whey etc.
