    Fat Question

Ok first of all I apologize if this is a dumb question and i think I might know the answer, but wanted to get input because I haven't seen it specifically covered here. Say on one day I hit all my macros but went quite over my fat intake, say double. Would it be beneficial to cut my fat intake by half for the next day or should I just take it as a cheat day and hit my normal numbers. Thanks in advance.

Hit your normal numbers the next day - IMO. Consistency over time. That's what counts.

That's kind of what I was thinking but in the same regard if I cut the fat the next day my weekly number would be closer to if i hit my daily numbers all week. I know I might be over analyzing something fairly insignificant and might be using the wrong logic, just wanted knowledgeable people's opinions. I appreciate all the input.

Some people count macros on a weekly basis.. not sure if this has any advantages over counting on a daily basis?

I've tried this 2 or 3 different times and I always go back to daily.. It's my OCD I guess.

If you went over by 70 that's a lot of fat! I bet you felt amazing!! I'd just chalk it up to an amazing cheat day and get back to the grind... You COULD drop it if you want but it'll just mess with your head. You obviously needed a huge cheat meal if you went over that much.

Yeah wasn't too huge but that coconut milk just killed me as I ate regular for the rest of the day. Had a full morning workout and helped move stuff all day but not going to be neurotic about it. Was just curious what some other people had to say.

Fat & Protein requirements are minimums. No such thing as going "over" your fat intake if you ate enough protein.

I assumed he meant going over his calories by going over fat intake.

The way he said it (hit "all my macros") I assumed his calories were still on point. But in any case, looks like he's clear on it now.
