Idk about 14, i used a bb for curls back then. Wasn't much more than the bar though.
Quit messing with weights, started back around 16. Probably started on the 20's or 15's. Then moved up. I seldom do DB curls anymore, but i don't usually go heavier than 35 or 40 pounds for 10ish reps.***Georgia Crew***

I don't curl, because I deadlift.
GegegegeLook me in the eye. It's okay if you are scared, so am I, but we are scared for different reasons. I am scared of what I willn't become, you are scared of what I could become. Look at me! I will not let myself end where I started, I will not let myself finish where I begin. I know what is within me, even if you can't see it yet. Look me in the eyes, I have something more important than courage, I have patience. I will become what I know I am.

Listen to me. Listen hard and good. I was like you once, just slightly taller (no hate, just saying). You should not be wasting your time on that at your height and weight. You need to be doing squats, deadlifts, bench press, rows, overhead press, dips, chin/pull ups, etc. Compound movements.

This is now your program if you want to get stronger and bigger. Don't complain like I did when I was your age. Just do it, eat a lot, and profit.
EDIT: And never say max on curls, tricep extensions, lat pulldowns, leg curls, etc. Only talk about maxes with deadlifts, overhead press, rows, bench press, and squats or the majority of people will laugh at you. To show you have big of a mistake I made, there are at least two 14 year olds that can squat more than me and I've probably been training longer. I get what I deserve for not focusing on strength.Last edited by Maxwell1995; 04-13-2011 at 04:23 PM.
