    what's classified as a cheat meal?

    For example tomorrow I plan to eat this from my cafeteria..
    4-5 pieces of fries
    2 chicken fingers
    1baked cod fillet
    2 barbecue chicken legs

    This will be my lunch / dinner

    I am doing carb cycling and tomorrow is a high carb day.

    So I guess my meal won't be a "cheat meal"

    I eat that at lunch with buddies once every 2 weeks at college and I calculate it's nutrition info to be

    For me.. I'm not huge on "fast food" a cheat meal for me is done right.. I go to a nice restaurant, 3-4 courses.. for example last weekend I went to http://www.theitaliankitchen.ca/

    Course 1 - Flat bread shared
    Course 2 - Caprese Salad
    Course 3 - Spaghetti with kobe meatball
    Course 4 - Chocolate filled donut balls with vanilla dip..

    My main thing is that I can't eat salt during every other meal of the week (or very low, try to keep it between 1300-1800MG/day) because I have high blood pressure.. so even though my cheat meal is sort of ridiculous... it's the only thing that will keep me sane

    (srs answer) bro, aside from the fries, you're taking in a lot of protein and there is nothing inherently bad about any of the other food you listed. you're good to go as long as the serving size is exactly as you described. just make sure to put in work at the gym afterwards. you have no idea what a cheat meal is until you've gorged on fast food and sweets. lol.

    Aigght. I workout 1 hour after my lunch so I figure I am okay. I'll have a real cheat meal this Saturday though. Can't wait.

    Yeah, to me a cheat meal is one that you know will take you out or over your macro's. You can eat whatever you want and not classify it as a cheat meal if it meats your macro's, but I would never classify any type of food as "bad."

    i would classify it as anything extra that put you over the macros you are shooting for, for the day. you can't say specific foods, cuz anything can be worked into someones macros, given their diet.

    cheat meal = a meal for which you don't count macros (for a person who normally counts macros)

    it has nothing to do with WHAT it is....

    if you count the macros it's not a cheat because you can just make up for it the next day.

    The only thing I think would be considerd a "cheat" is a day you go over your maintenace calories for the day... and that would be a cheat day not a meal, if you have a "cheat meal" that you manage to fit in your daily macros it's not really a cheat meal is it?

    OP you are not cheating, you are just afraid of certain sources of food.. ( fries, greasy meats)
    you would be less frigthen if you knew a little bit more about nutrition,
    read the stickies..

    A cheat meal is simply one that takes you outside your target intake. Subway could be a cheat or could be fit in your macros. I have fit pizza, burgers, zaxbys, beer, etc into my macros (no haters not in one day) and thus don't consider them cheats
