hey guys. i recently hurt my rib skiing (fell on a handrail) and had minimal problems, but my parents made me keep playing tennis and when i served the rib cracked abit and now im in quite alot of pain when i try to workout. its hurt kinda on my back/side at the bottom of my lat. i really want to keep working out. running, abs, flyes, benching, and lat pulldowns are all definatly out of the question. im thinking of just working my arms and legs. do you think id be able to get away with that? i can always just go on a cut aswell since my bulk is almost over.

If I were an idiot I'd wonder how to work out with broken bones as well. I'll tell you what though give it a rest rib's heal and wrap your rib cage with a pressure bandage (not to tight but snug) and wear it under your clothes throughout the day. It will speed the healing process. (Btw I'm a paramedic not some other nonsense teen with dumb advice)

I got jumped too. waited 5days, the pain was gone so I went and lifted hard. shoulders, chest, biceps.
next thing I know I felt a stabbing pain. I went to the ER from the pain just yesterday and I found out that my third bone lower right of the rib cage is broken.
I will tell you rest rest rest! I am fighting myself not to go to the gym as well. not easy to stop but its needed. if you workout you will have to wait longer
