HELP! My body has stopped losing/dropping fat
I am 4 weeks out from my figure show and i have dropped from 25% fat to 15% fat and i am not budging. Despite interval training, a tight/measured diet and well resting myself i cannot seem to budge at all. I am only eating tilapia at this point and i consume either 15 almonds 2X's a day or 1/4 avacado at two separate meals. carb cycling is 2-1-0 and i add in a "3" day if my body is not recovering quickly enough from workouts. I really really really feel like i am so close, does anyone have ANY advice as to how i can drop the last 1-2 percent of body fat in the next 4 weeks?
also, everyone talks about taraxatone as a water loss supplement but it has been discontinued... any suggestions?
I would appreciate anything at this point! i have worked way too hard to just sit back and let this go!
How long have you been dieting? What are your stats at this point? Your healthy fats look low, carbs look low, so overall I'm thinking your total cals are quite low and your body is starting to fight back.
As for the "holding extra water" this is a nice way of saying you need to be leaner. It's always a body fat issue, not a matter of extra water.

Talipia is pretty fatty. Id get off it. Assuming 6 meals a day, carb deplete for 17 meals then have a carb/fat meal. Add in some cayenne extract, drink your water as cold as can be, almost frozen. Depleted AM cardio. Uh.....idk lots of little tricks. Have a cheat meal maybe?

I used Scivation Showtime for water depletion. Started 7 days out at 3gal a day, cut a half gal/day til the day before just sips to wet my mouth. Also chewed gum and spit the saliva out. I was dry as the Sahara on show day.

Why drink water as cold as can be? I like learning these tricks!

The OP is far behind on her schedule, she is higher in bodyfat than she thinks. All those dubious tricks will do nothing for her in terms of fat loss.

She asked for help. Why the fk open your mouth if you're just going to trash her. Stfu, back to the kithen.
Op, anything you can do at this point will help to some extent. Go with bonelss skinless ckn breast, top round, or haddock for meats.
Honestly you should have had a solid diet nailed down weeks in advance, but its too late to worry about it. Hit the cardio, deplete your carbs, refeed, etc...

LOL, you spout broscience and resort to personal attacks. Kitchen is a solid argument, for sure.
I was not trashing her, I am telling her the truth. No point in sugar-coating.
If you had any ability of logical coherent thinking, you would understand that no significant fat loss will happen in 4 weeks left before the contest.
The food choices do not matter if she doesn't have calories/macros under control.

I think with good control, she could still lose a %, nothing significant though. 2 weeks out is risky, but 4 givers her time to make adjustments. I dropped .8% or so from 4 weeks out (idk calipers have some amount of error), but was also extremely disciplined and my diet was solid. You call it broscience, I call it tips I got from card-carrying pros. Worked for me, no guarantee it would work for anyone else.

First, congrats on you win, job well done!
You gave yourself the right amount of time to diet, so you were able to get lean enough for the stage. This is why it worked so well for you...the little tricks not so important.
The key to contest prep is the right diet and giving yourself enough time to diet. It will make you or break you come show time.

I don't have any advice. I just wanted to wish you good luck. If you don't beat 'em this time, there is always next time. Life is a learning adventure. Think of it like when you first started running- you had to do a half marathon before you ran the marathon. Best wishes!

I really think you could have put it in a nicer way, dieting alone is hard enough, and can tip anyone over the edge, especially if you are doing everything by the book, that comment was not necessary IMO.

Keep up the good work, you definately have a six pack happening. My suggestion is maybe hire a trainer who who has competed and knows the tricks of the trade. I had hit a wall about 2 weeks ago, my trainer ( who i only see once a week for a kick ass workout and contest prep ) switched up my diet and cardio. He added a tabata style sprint program / to be done morning and evening. That was enough to break the stall, BF and scale moving down now. Again best to go with a professional on this one. You've work so hard and have come along way! You go girl ! and you look great!
Give all you have and then a little more. I helped my wife train for her figure competition and she started only five weeks out. I know these pics will motivate you because great changes can be made in a short amount of time. These two photos are taken 5 weeks apart. I don't agree with one comment I saw about talapia being fatty, that just isn't true it is cheap and good protein source and low in sodium. When you buy chicken breasts check the packaging some contains 290 mg sodium per 4 ounces and others contain only 75 mg of sodium. Try to keep your sodium low. Good luck and give it your best and be proud of yourself. First picture is June 8 2010 second is at competition July 17 2010 where she won novice short and novice overall. Practice posing untill you drop because you have to stay with legs and all flexed. Pracice in front of mirror with eyes shut and then open to see if you are hitting the poses right this is best because you won't be able to see yourself on stage. Do light workouts except for your posing on mon and tues of final week and cut cardio at least 3 days out so your muscles will be fresh and hard. You will do fine believe in yourself.
