I know that pasta is a low GI food but is it ok for me to be eating it in most of my meals. I eat other sources of carbs like fruit and brown rice, oatmeal as well , but I just wanted to be sure that I wasn't going to cause problems for myself.
Heres what I ate yesterday:
Meal 1:
2 eggs boiled
1/2 cup oatmeal
1 apple
1 cup 2 % milk
Meal 2:
2 oz. of spaghetti
1 orange
3 oz chicken breast
1 tbsp olive oil
some carrots
Meal 3:
1 cup 2 % milk
4 oz. halibut
green beans
2.5 oz spaghetti
1 tbsp natural PB
Meal 4:
1/2 cup oatmeal
1 scoop muscle milk
5 oz. strawberries
1 tbsp olive oil
Meal 5:
100 g Edamame
1 tbsp olive oil
3 oz chicken breast
Meal 6:
1 tbsp natural PB
1 scoop muscle milk

Pasta is awesome for the carbs, but it's very calorie dense so you do have to be careful with your measurements and portions. I use it more for my bulking phases where i need hundreds and hundreds of carbs daily.
To be honest it is something i cut out during a cutting phase due to how calorie dense a good serving size is and how generally i'm a big eater.advertising/self-promotion not permitted

I LOVE to have whole wheat pasta.. when losing weight, you'd be surprised at the amount you need once it's cooked..
Good way to do it is to cook up a ton of veggies + garlic, at the end throw in 1/2 cup of tomato sauce, 1/4 cup of the water your pasta was cooking in.
Pull the pasta out 2 mins before it's supposed to be finished, and put it in the sauce/veggies for about 3-4 mins to finish it off.Cutting
