I have people tell me that it isnt good to do chest and back on the same day..
I see no reasons why it would be bad..
Any advice on what to do?

I will probably get raped by the forum by this. But (with thorough research and though) do what YOU want! Don't listen to one guy on the forum saying "oh do it my way because im ripped". It's all bull. You can gain muscle many ways, everyone is different. Trust me.

Supersetting back and chest exercises is actually something people do. For example:
4 x Flat BB Bench then Wide Grip Pull Ups
and then
4x Incline BB Bench and Bent Over Rows
and then finish with Some dadlifts.
Or you could just do your chest first and then back or the other way around.
Flat BB Bench
Incline BB Bench
Wide Grip Pull Ups
Bent Over Rows
Dealifts
By the way, it's what Arnold used to do.

I agree with Marleau12, do what you think your capable of doing, like some people say about you cant train the second muscle group as well because youve wasted energy, but i trained chest and back on the same day for like half a year, and i was fine with it, lifting heavey weight etc got good gains, its just slightly time consuming thats the down side
