Is this new or used? I'm not sure about Canadian pricing but for the US this seems close to retail assuming its the older discontinued shape system. I saw where PT was offering this last year for this price or close to on their website. The older shape system had two pulleys for plates (one on each side) the new one I believe has one in the middle. Is the 300lb rubber oly set a Weider?

All this stuff is new. Canadian pricing is always going to be higher than U.S. We get screwed for everything.

The shape system is the older one with just the two pulleys. The oly set is some brand named ultimately fit?

The price should right for the equipment. Try to bargain and say I will take it w/o tax.

If you have to buy new at least you're not having to pay shipping costs. Sounds like fair prices for new. Does the power rack have the sabers (old style) or the pop pins (new style). Since it appears he's selling the older style shape system I'm guessing the power rack is the older model also. I'd love one of the shape systems.

It's the saber style. Black one with chrome.

You think the shape system is a good deal? I'm debating whether to get that or a stand alone lat machine.

Its a decent price for new. I've heard some good reviews about it. That's a personal preference as to which to get first. Some people will say you don't need a pulldown machine, just do chins (I'm not in that group). I personally would add the shape system after I had everything else I needed, which for me would include a stand alone pulldown/low pulley machine. But having said that, I think you'd have a better chance of finding a used stand alone pulldown machine than you would a shape system or something comparable in any market.

You sure? I bought a powertec power rack from them in Feb and it had the Gravity Lock catches, not sabers.

The price seems fine. You aren't going to find anything better in Canada. There are very few powertec dealers dealers up here.

The olympic set is $10 cheaper at http://www.fitnessavenue.ca/item.php?id=147 if you want to try to get them to knock $10 off

Primal Athletes has a weight set that is pretty nice by York (Canadian) for $225.

The bodysolid bench is good, I have one and it's fine for my purposes. The only thing I don't like is the footprint. If I could afford the IM Superbench ($400 to Toronto) I would have personally gone with that.

Those york plates aren't rubber. Good deal if you want iron though.

Also you can find the Superbench for $300 in Ottawa (http://fitnessequipmentottawa.com/in...uctType&type=7), you could try to price match it.

Those are ok prices for here in canada. I'm familiar with treadmillfactory as well. I've purchased several things from them over the years. Including a PTec rack. $499 is the going price it seems. I've only ever seen it cheaper on boxing day when treadmillfactory was selling it for $399. I don't like the shape system at all. Not as smooth as i would like. But that price is okay. Its been a discontinued model for a while so they're just selling them off cheap. The rubber plates you can buy at fitnessavenue.ca they are basically the exact same plates and you can get 300lbs for $260 and no tax. They have some decent benches too I would check out. I like that bodysolid bench, i used it for years. Not sure if i would pay that much for it.
