Wow, so the 2 scoops(50g protein) of whey I just ingested will result in 8-10g uptake? So it was pretty much pointless for me to take 2 scoops?

See bold, he is referring to the rate that protein can be absorbed, not the total amount that can be absorbed. So he is basically saying your 50g of protein in your shake will take up to 5 hours to be absorbed.
