Currently I work out 7days a week. But I only train 1 body part per day, and let that part rest for 5 days before I train it again. Bad idea?

So basically youre doing a 5 day split with no rest days...
You realise you're not resting.
Why do you think we need rest days?? Your body builds your muscles during your resting phase; by hitting another muscle group, youre telling your body to stop growing even if that muscle group hasn't been hit the day before...what im trying to say is that your body rest all together as a WHOLE....
Take 2 days off. Here's my split
1- Chest
2- Back
3- Legs
4- REST
5- Shoulder/Traps
6- Arms
7- REST
Also, by hitting chest the day before, you will no doubt hit your triceps..and then the next day is arms day, which will make you scream in pain and lower your intensity."Everything would have been geared for making my body able to withstand another small dose of iron on the bar for each exercise every week or two, even if it was just a few ounces.
