    Adrenal Gland reset?

I was working out with a buddy of mine and was telling him about how I grew immune to my pre-workout supplement and was asking him about what new things I could try. He recommended finding a supplement that will "reset" my adrenal gland so that I will feel the rush of a pre-workout supplement as if it were the first time ever taking one. He told me about one you could take for a week (without taking a stimulant) and then I could take a pre-workout supplement to feel that same rush. He did not, however tell me the name of the supplement...

Anyone ever hear of this? If so, what are some choices that I have or should look into?

If anyone is curious, the two pre-workout supplements I've tried with the best success are Mesomorph and 1 M.R.

It's easier to just take a few (2-4) weeks off of stimulants rather than buying a new supplement.

You can always take a non stim pre workout while you're taking a break.

(Never heard of anything reseting your adrenal glands other than breaks from stims.)

Pretty sure adrenal fatigue was made up by homeopathics to further scam the consumer on buying useless herbs to 'cure' their adrenal fatigue.

It probably would be a good idea not to mess with things that affect glands anyway. What pre-workout supplements should I take then? I want something that can perk me up after I get out of work so I'm able to lift what I can normally on weekends.

Another bs product. Impossible to "reset" adrenal glands. Only thing is to take a break from stims.

I see a lot of "it is bs yadda yadda" and I'm not saying you are wrong/right but if it is bs why is it so effective. Every time I have ever used Reset-AD/Revamp, I have gotten noticeably more stimmed out and shaky at the same dose of caffeine. Something is definitely happening. Maybe you aren't "resetting" something but something IS happening. Not looking for an e-fight but more some actual science fact to back up it being bs.

I second this. I have a medical background and none of our studies included substances that can "reset" adrenal glands.

The problem is not your adrenal gland but your adrenergic/adenosine receptors.
Stop using stims for at least two weeks. If you feel the withdrawal too badly use some non-stim invigorators like quality korean ginseng.
    Problem solved.

I guess they don't realize that caff. tolerances vary from person to person, so the "reset" time period varies as well.

bump. Can someone please post some proof of it being bs, please? I'm not here to argue. I just want to see proof.

What I took from the article, in regards to its validity, is that there is no scientific proof to back it, or a known way to test for it for that matter. All we have to go off of is our own personal experiences. I will definitely be investigating this more. Hopefully I can pull more info on it's validity or lack thereof.

What I can say is this: I have used Reset-AD/Revamp and both have made me extremely sensitive to stimulants, cutting my normal dose if caffeine in half typically. I noticed a better mood (could be placebo), more focus in and out of the gym. I seem to get a nootropic like effect from it. My ability to concentrate and articulate my thoughts noticeably improve. In the article it talks of shutting off your adrenal glands if you use support supplements. I have NEVER had this happen. I think if my adrenal glands were to stop working, I would notice huge changes in the quality of my life. I may be special. I'm not saying this supports its validity. Just thought it was worth mentioning.

Works for me too...I know stim fatigue may happen from several factors so perhaps these types of products contribute in different ways and the "adrenal" thing is just marketing???

the products themselves; even though they may work. are a scam you can pretty much do the same thing by taking time off or just simply doing a cleanse. i took a look at rest ad and it didnt look like much.
