I bumped into Nick Diaz at my gym (pic)

I noticed him right as I scanned in at the front desk. He was one person behind me. I asked the girl behind the counter to take a picture. It was almost surreal to see him in person since he's gonna be fighting Condit for the interm welterweight title in less than a month.



I know I look awkward in the picture and that's because I didn't know how he was going to react. I've talked to him once in the past and he gave me a vibe like I was annoying him. I asked him about how he felt about Zuffa buying Strikeforce. It must've been a touchy subject. Anyway, he was real cool when I met him today.

I don't know, he looks/sounds much more normal (except the ADHD and shyness) when he is doing something unrelated to a fight. You could see that his whole demeanor changes in a Helwani interview when Helwani shifts the subject from a fight to a triathlon. I think the problem is that Diaz bros see an MMA fight as a real fight rather than competition. It makes them entertaining to watch but at the same time you can't be a happy man if you believe that you are getting paid to really fight someone as if you actually hate him.
