IMO I think Arnold's chest is better. Now this is a hard subject to touch on with the extreme differences, the sport has changed so much and I personally dislike the shape of the body builders today. They are so massive that I think the art has been taking out of the competition. What I mean by that is Arnold is the all time undisputed best poser. I think Arnold's body is much more desirable and therefore I think his chest is better. That being said, I may choose Ronnie's if his lats and mid section weren't so massive.
The only reason why i see arnold chest to be so eye popping is simply because he lacked the shoulder size which made his chest look bigger than what it really was. It helped that his arms/biceps were big enough to give the illusion of a balance/symmeterical look.
haven't posted here in forever. Looks like nothing has changed. People getting butthurt over other's opinions lol.
OT: id say arnold's chest had more of an impact on bodybuilding considering the era he was prominent in. Also the fact that his chest seemed to stand out over other body parts. That being said, I would say that coleman's chest was bigger/ more developed, but the fact that arnold was way ahead of his time puts him above coleman.
lol i was in class writing that. i meant miscers and lurkers chose arnie
I chose Arnie, and I regular here. Arnold's chest measurement is the same as Ronnie's, but he has nowhere near the back development or size that Ronnie does - which plays a huge factor in that measurement. Yes he's taller which probably means that his natural measurement is already larger, which IMO after adjusting for back and frame would probably leave them even. I'd say the mass in their chests is the same, but if you were to crop their chests in a picture removing all bodyparts I still think Arnold's chest is better in almost every way possible

Arnold without a doubt. His whole body is a sculpture. Ronnie's is a pile of mass. Coleman's physique looked a lot better in the late 90s. I find today's bodybuilders disgusting.

So...you came in and bumped this thread to tell us that ronnie's lats were TOO big?

i dont even know why you guys are mentioning eras and supplement usage. The question was simple. WHO HAS THE BETTER CHEST? You guys always want to add more your defense when its not needed lol.

This is not "who is your favorite bodybuilder." Arnold is a legend, one of the best. Ronnie "The Big Nasty" Coleman was the best bodybuilder and the most dominant champion who ever stepped foot on the Olympia stage. Arnold was known for his chest and biceps. Main reason being they stood out and almost overpowered his physique. He had other "good" bodyparts but those two stood out more because of the rest of his physique. Ronnie's chest was amazing and it blends in with the rest of his massive frame.
