Fat Burners and Sex Drive

I've been taking fat burners on and off for a few years now and have always buried my head in the sand for what its long term effects are.

My question is; Can someone comment on their experiences with using fat burners like epherdrine etc and its affect on lowering sex drive?

I had the 'worst' night last night when I got back to this girls place, only to be half way through when I just couldn't keep it up - 'this is devastating!!!' - Im only in my mid twenties, and needless to say I'm loosing sleep over it.

Please help!



P.S. Im more after any constructive comments; like how to strengthen my libido and hear other peoples stories on how they have got through this issue, as opposed to hearing more reinforcements on why I shouldn't have taken it etc - obviously I've stopped using these substances. - Thanks in advance.

It could be insufficient fat intake, thus lowering testosterone levels. I would think that is more likely than the fat burner, but I suppose anything's possible

My fat intake is pretty good - deep sea fish about 3-4 times a week etc.
I haven't taken any kinds of testosterone supplements in the past either so I don;t think its a hormone imbalance from misuse etc.

Has this kind of thing ever happened to anyone else?

I've never experienced such a thing by virtue of taking Ephedrine. But, you need to accept the fact that your talking about drugs that impact your nervous system. I guess anything is possible. My advice: ask yourself this. "Is getting an extra calorie burn of about 50 calories a day by virtue of the EC stack really worth it?"

50 calories =
maybe 10 minutes of cardio
6 less grams of fat
12 less grams of protein or carbs
Maybe a little less cream in your coffee...

most fat burners are a joke.

Caffeine and ephedrine are both vasoconstrictors, meaning they restrict blood flow. This could certainly have a negative side affect since keeping a hard on is pretty much all about blood flow.

1) Stop taking whatever your taking
2) Do cardio it improves blood flow
3) Be sure you are getting your enough dietary fat. (Hormone production)
4) If it happens frequently see a Dr it could be something more more serious but honestly its probably nothing it happens to every guy at some point
5) Ironical losing weight also help to improve blood flow
6) If all else fails they make a pill for it

I'm on the EC stack and my sex drive/libido is still through the roof, always hard as a rock if ya know what I mean! It's not the fat burner, it's your lack of fat intake! Trust me because I experienced the same problem a few years back!

It could also just be psychological. How well do you know this girl? Maybe there was something about the situation that turned you off, subconsciously. Or performance anxiety. Also, alcohol, weed, coke, etc all take a toll, as well. Just remember: it happens. To everyone. And worrying about it, especially in the moment, makes things worse. Just have to relax, shift the focus, invest in extra condoms. As long as you can get her off in other ways she isn't going to complain.

Well, for me its the opposite. It makes me hyper and makes me horny as hell. Always has, all upper type of drugs seem to that to me.

What is your BF? And what was it when you started cutting? As BF lowers from a fatter state leptin reduces to zero, along with cals and dietary fat lowering, with ec which restrict blood flow, these could be the factors that caused this.

I have the lowest sex drive of my life right now.

Last time I was cutting I was on my EC stack for over 2 months. I was down to about 10% BF and I was hornier then ever. Somehow uppers do that to me a lot.

Same here! Always horny no matter who I get with even on the uppers, only time I ever wasn't was when I didn't have sufficient dietary fat in my diet.

I have strange friends and we talk about dumb things heres some other things...

1. Doing something physical before sex could increase sex drive like push ups....My friend is weird
2. Eat certain foods before you have sex. I called him an idiot and moved on so Idk what they are...lol
3. Idk the detail of your problem. Idk if you just go fast, but I had friends who pre gamed in the bathroom and then went longer in bed with the girl. Now if you can't just get it up then idk man.
4. There is a root from africa thats natural that gives you a natural Viagra affect that goes away after drinking some water. I got a friend whos dad lives there and his dad actually gave him roots. I was given one, soaked it in a vodka bottle for 2 weeks. Tried it too. Took 2 shots. Never had issues but this makes you on your A game. It works let me tell you haha

Alcohol will absolutely not help him "keep it up".

I haven't read anything on EC affecting sexual performance, nor have I experienced any effect myself. But it may be possible. My only suggestion would be to stop taking it and see if that changes anything, and go from there.

If you track your macros, would you mind posting them up (a typical day..) just curious to see what we could make of it.

This has happened to me only once and it was during my last cut with my fiance. I was stressing out hardcore about my diet/appearance/money and so when it came down to it, I couldn't get it up. I treated myself to a feast of a cheat meal and that actually helped take the edge off. I've found that cardio increases my blood flow to a pretty big degree, I find myself horny more often. These things happen, don't sweat it. There are sex pills you can take that help with blood flow that you can get at any condom/sex store, vitamin & health store, gas station, etc.

Part of how ephedrine works is by restricting blood flow. Which is why you shouldn't take it if you have high blood pressure already and can cause problems getting or keeping it up in bed.
