How The Average U.S. Consumer Spends Their Paycheck

*** There is no one free of all need, of whom all else are in absolute need, but God ***

Pbuh: If anyone testifies that None has the right to be worshipped but God Alone Who has no partners, and that Muhammad is His Servant and His Apostle, and that Jesus is God's Servant and His Apostle and His Word which He bestowed on Mary and a Spirit created by Him, and that Paradise is true, and Hell is true, God will admit him into Paradise

It's "interesting" that they neglected to include taxes in the breakdown, huh?

I would love to see something like this for other countries as well.

Maybe a comparison between the US, China, Japan and Germany?

    Would be pretty sweet.

Also, looking at this, I am a little ashamed. There is no % for savings/investing. Is the average american really 100% leveraged??

I'd love to see some one complain that the CPI doesn't weigh food and energy heavily enough after looking at those charts

    Seriously:

Housing, which dominates 34% of their spending, just tanked, which means buying a house now is 2x cheaper.

Yet you guys still complain inflation for something stupid like food prices (7% of the spending).

Umm... The graph also shows that the "average" person is almost 50 is likely a home owner... That's a lot of equity that is now down the drain.

CPI and investment strategies are 2 very different things.

Its really not my fault or the government's fault that the average American thought housing prices can only go up and decided to go to the bank and get loans with no downpayment.

e.g. lets say you just got a job and decided to look for a place. Compare the 2 times
(example numbers but as realistic as possible)

    2004:
2000 sq ft home: $1800 per month mortgage
    Food: $200 per month

    2011:
2000 sq ft home: $1400 per month mortgage
    Food: $300 per month

For arguments sake, I'll assume the worst and say food prices went up 50%.

Which payments would u rather pay?

I'm not gonna lie when I want to spend money (clothes, entertainment, recreational etc), I typically spend no more than 1/3 of a paycheck.

I do not hate Jews. What I specifically dislike is racial/ethnic supremacy and extremism that inevitably contradicts a root belief system. An example is Jewish (ethnic) supremacy aka Zionists. This is not exclusive to Jews nor their religion, there is in fact Arab zionists, Muslim zionists, Christian zionists, American zionists, Democrat zionists, and even atheist zionists.

The cost of purchasing a HOUSE is something that people face, what, every 5-20 years? Food, you buy new every week.
Same for gas/fuel/etc. A home's cost (and subsequent monthly payment) is pretty must set in stone at purchase time,
    and won't change for years.

The cost of buying a home only affects... people who are actually buying a home right now. The guy who bought his three
years ago, is still paying three years ago's mortgage payment. And the guy who needs to sell today, is pretty much screwed
    on the loss he's taking.

I do not hate Jews. What I specifically dislike is racial/ethnic supremacy and extremism that inevitably contradicts a root belief system. An example is Jewish (ethnic) supremacy aka Zionists. This is not exclusive to Jews nor their religion, there is in fact Arab zionists, Muslim zionists, Christian zionists, American zionists, Democrat zionists, and even atheist zionists.

e.g. lets say you just got a job and decided to look for a place. Compare the 2 times
(example numbers but as realistic as possible)

    2004:
2000 sq ft home: $1800 per month mortgage
    Food: $200 per month

    2011:
2000 sq ft home: $1400 per month mortgage
    Food: $300 per month

For arguments sake, I'll assume the worst and say food prices went up 50%.

Which payments would u rather pay?
Unless you have a magic time machine, it isn't an issue of what someone would "rather" to pay.

The ONLY people who face happiness with current home prices are those who are buying
for the first time. Anyone else, either can't afford to sell their home in the first place,
or will face a significant loss when they do. What do you expect most people to do - sell
their homes, lose a huge amount of money, then buy another "cheaper" place, so they can
save a little bit on their mortgage?

lol you still don't get it.

    CPI vs investment strategies.

Its not my problem you chose to buy a house as an investment rather than rent. For renters and new home buyers, they are saving a ton of money and have MORE disposable income.
