Can I prepare meals for the week?

I work at an elementary & my lunch has been a good one but now I wanna make it better.
    I bought 5 tupperware containers.
Tomorrow (Sunday) I plan on cooking my 5 lunch meals for the week & storing them in the fridge until it's time to eat them.

My question is: Can I do this or will this spoil the food?

I plan on making chicken breast with broccoli & brown rice.

Depends on the type of food and the condition of it when you buy it, but generally its fine, I do the same thing. I wouldn't recommend doing it with certain things that spoil quickly such as seafood though. You can also toss them in the freezer after you cook it and just take one out and put in the fridge to thaw the night before.

i do the same thing, i cook my lunches for the week on Sunday. i cook chicken, brown rice and cut up some veg and pack it in tupperware with an olive oil dressing and then i've got lunches for the week.

i wouldnt worry about things going bad as long as you dont keep it longer than a week.

I've always stored my Thursday and Friday chickens in the freezer, and take them down the night before. that being said, Monday - Wednesday's chicken and rice would be fine in the fridge!
