Anyone know where I can see some good power snatch illustrations? Due to my forearms being longer than my arm I do not have the flexibility to rack on my delts or get close.. so Rippetoe says if I cannot improve my flexibility to do cleans I should do snatches for Starting Strength.
I watch some vids on youtube but I cant find a detailed explanation, I did try to do them yesterday but my form was not where it needs to be.

Okay, I would have to see a photo or video of yourself trying to get the rack position to know that you cannot do it. It's not that I don't believe you, but I have been around Oly lifting for 10 yrs and everybody I've met has been able to rack the bar.
In any case, look up "power snatch" on youtube. Also, there is some stuff in the Olympic section here you might be able to find. Also, you probably should post a video of yourself in the Olympic section and several of us can give you pointers on what your doing correctly and what you need to improve on!!
Hope this helps!!Training log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=168969133

You can always be more flexible then you currently are. Honestly I would be willing to bet it is easier/faster to correct a flexibility issue then properly learning how to do a snatch, even if it is the power variation.
That's sort of like saying you can't squat to depth because your hips aren't flexible enough, the easy solution is to fix that problem not go learn a completely new exercise.

This.
OP look up Jim Wendler doing Power Cleans on YouTube and just do them.. (edit: should have explained this better. Look it up because you'll see that he can't do them right at all either, but uses them effectively anyway).
And I guess work on your wrist flexibility. Making your shoulders much larger will be key also.Last edited by Black_Spit; 04-14-2011 at 01:46 PM.

Since you're doing SS, here's Rip teaching the Power Snatch:
