I live in Germany so I'm not exactly sure what the prestige of these schools are and I know that the rankings don't tell the whole story, so any advice on the matter is appreciated.
Also, what are the chances of getting off the waiting list of Cornell, Duke and Brown?

If you don't know your major, U of M is your best choice. They are a top 20 program in ALL 200+ majors they offer and in most they are a top 10 school. Also you are most likely to get the greatest social life, compared to many other prestigious schools, not to mention the sports team. If you are going for engineering or business or premed, Umich is your school.

If ur lookin for a social school friendly spirit 4 sports (and are good at them) UofM Georgetown nd Duke should be ur top3. Don't get me wrong they have good academics too but I didn't see nybody mention the social/friendly/sports envirement factor (; Other skools might be UK Syracuse Ohio St UMass nd Alot of the christian/catholic colleges.
(sis went to UofM gr8 place. Bro went UK gr8 place also
