There is this girl in the gym that does not shut up, she has a head set on and talks to her friend/sister/mother/boyfriend who ever the f'ck is on the other line, all the while she is training. And when I mean doesn't shut up, I mean she doesn't shut up, she goes on and on and on, while doing a set, while doing a rep, while she walking, while she is sitting and she talks really really loud!! And for some strange f'cking reason she is always no more than 5 - 10 feet from me...
It is driving me f'cking insane. I seriously wish it were a guy so I could walk up to him and snatch the f'cking head piece from his f'cking ear and break the f'cking thing. Seriously this girl is freaking nuts!

There is an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm...familiar with that HBO series? Where Larry David (the main character, he was the coproducer of Seinfeld) is having dinner by himself, because his wife left him. The table to his right, there is a guy sitting there, alone...with a headset on...talking loudly to whomever...so, Larry looks over..and then he starts talking loudly. Pretending like he's carrying on a conversation with someone at the table, but he's alone. He does NOT have a headset on. haha! He becomes very obnoxious until the guy next to him stops talking and tells the person he's talking to...to hold on...and he looks at Larry...''um, who are you talking to?'' I can't remember what Larry replies, but it was hilarious.

On that same note, there is a female that goes to my gym. She is a Hare Krishna, (there's alot of those around here). She will be on the treadmill, with earbuds in chanting something very loudly. Loud enough, it can almost be heard all the way across the gym. Very irritating.

Oh damn. I have earbuds and I always tuck them into my shirt and not have the wire on the outside of my shirt, never have any problems. Also the music they play at gyms usually sucks too, haha! Good luck with that lady, I'd go nuts.
We have a few of those John. I can't stand working out without my headphones and Ipod. If someone talks to me while I am not wanting to talk, I just point to my ear phones, and say I can't hear you. I have the kind that fit in your ear, and the cord goes down my back, and stays out of the was. If I had to workout without them, I would buy those squishy ear plugs that fit in my ears. I don't want to listen to people talk, or the sh!t music the gym plays.

Forbidden on the gym floor, but in most states, it while behind the wheel of a 2 ton missile driven by folks who can barely tie their shoes and breathe at the same time.
do what i do and tell her nicely that since you are older you get to set the rules and she needs to not talk on the phone. thats what i told the youngsters the other day when they changed the music to some hip hop stuff. i shook my head and told them that when they were older or could bench more than me than they could pick the music
