Its a really nice color tbh. I would've kept it if it didn't sell.

EDIT: using the suggestions phx posted earlier and revamping all my ebay listings. I'm going to make a post on my site about all the stuff I bought and my total so far. Will update the misc ebay family later.

I think you left a good bit on the table, you should have ironed it. Also take more than just one picture. Add more terms to your title, different people call those shirts button down, button up, dress shirt, long sleeve, oxford collar, etc. The pattern is gingham, it has a button down collar. Note all of these things in your auction, that's more people searching for these terms that sees your shirt. That's a ~$90 retail shirt.

You're probably right. I need to purchase an iron from goodwill and a table to iron on. I needed to sell items before the 7 day return window for goodwill though. Anything that doesn't sell I'm returning lol.

Your call bro. This is my opinion. I had an experience like that with a phone sale. $100+ profit after fees, shipping, cost to acquire, etc.... It was brand new SEALED in a box. Buyer emailed me and said the retail box was opened and if i could explain it before he left feedback. it was obvious to me he wanted some kind of compensation in lieu of him negging me. i emailed him back saying i was sorry for what happened with the box, that i had inspected it and all was a-ok before i sent it out. then i said if he would like, i could send him a return label. all he would need to do is slap the label on the box and leave it for the mailman to pick up. no need to go to the post office, since i would arrange for pick-up. told him the package was insured and to send it back so i can follow up with UPS to see what happened to the box between from where i mailed it out and to his place.

dude said it was ok. never left me feedback either way and didn't hear from him ever again.

What do you guys usually do for shipping? A flat rate or just put the ebay shipping calculator up? I've cleaned out my closet and have a few items to put up, so I'm leaning towards just using the shipping calculator.

Some of the lacostes I found in goodwill that I'm about to list on ebay. Wish me luck.

Just added up my total $$ spent at goodwill... $50 on electronics (potential of $95 profit) and $100 on clothes (will be returning some but potential of $8-10 profit on each of the 20 items total). So trying to make about $300 profit off that last goodwill run.

I feel like we're getting a lot of these very basic questions coming up a lot lately. Are you even reading the thread?

for anything small start w/ usps and get a quote. It's up to you if you want to give an exact price on your auction or markup the item price and offer free shipping or what.

Yea it's gotten very annoying. I was dropping some helpful info in here but stopped because it seems like nobody is taking the time to read the thread and just want to ask the same questions repeatedly. I made a fairly detailed post about using aliexpress and I swear there have been over 20+ posts asking about buying from aliexpress since then. And I don't know how many times people have said to check the "Completed listings" on eBay to find the average selling price for items but people still keep asking "how much can I get for this iPhone?".

I'm all for helping people out but take some time to do some research. Asking, "How can I improve my listings?" and posting a link to one of your ads is a very good and valid question. Asking what to do after someone wins your auction is ridiculous.

Recommend electronics. Got these two bad boys for $10 and $30 respectively. I'm always keeping my eye out for goodwill electronics. Another good idea is power cords. Sometimes I'll buy a printer and take a power cord of another item if the box I was purchasing didn't have one. No point in purchasing a printer that doesn't turn on

Are printers the only electronics worth buying at thrift stores? I've never been into one before so I have no idea what stuff they have there. I might check one out this week.

Used games are hard to make money off of unless they've only been out a year or two. I've sold 20-25 360 games the past 4 months. Look for bundles like all dragon age games, assassin's creed games, etc. and they'll make you some money.

Look out for any TI-89 or 89+ calculators. I've found 7 or 8 at goodwills and another 10+ at garage sales. Never paid more than $4.99 for one and never sold one for less than $40.

Yeah, I've read like the last 8 pages. I don't have the time to devote to reading a good chunk of it at the moment.

Thing is, it's different stuff. I guess I could get a USPS quote, but I'd have to spend all day getting stuff weighed/priced. I'm going to assume everyone is just tossing up the shipping calculator for situations like mine. I've got everything from pocket watches, sports cards, clothes, to lebron james shoes, silver, and a couple of indoor bicycle trainers.

I suppose the answer is simple for myself, but I'd still be curious to hear some of the preferences of other brahs if anyone wants to chime in.

Talked myself out of buying 500 tea spoons, the collectible ones grandmas collect. Mainly because I know absolutely zero about them, a quick eBay search indicated a good chance of profit. What is the weirdest item you have flipped?

That feel when you uploaded ebay listings before you went to bed and you wake up and 6 new bids on 6 different items. I made all my auctions have a minimum price of a few dollars above what I paid for the item. Amidoingitrite?

ya wtf is up with this, how the hell do you guys make this work at the beginning?

I had trouble listing the same item I sold the week before ( had 2 copies ) thankful I had just linked my bank account to paypal so I was able to verify my PayPal and they let me list it.

Will I no longer have problems listing in the same category now?
