    Lite protein Shakes

I am a 258lb man that used to weigh 300lbs and have been working out for less then 2 months. I want to get down to below 200lbs but not loose to much muscle. I have been on a 1200 cal diet regardless of working out. I have been running swimming and using the eliptical machine. I do take the GNC sport packs and fish oils. This last week I started to lift weights the second attempt at lifting I didn't feel the strengh from before. I want to build muscle in my upper body but don't want to gain weight from protein shakes. I dont mind adding muscle but didn't want to slow down my weight loss.

Is there a protein shake that will not add weight to my body but help keep the muscle mass. Someone I met at the gym said to come here and ask. Plus I could get some protein shake at a great price from here.

30 calories here and there wont change your results...since most quality shakes have 100-130 cals per scoop..but the lowest calorie protein shake I know of is VPX SRO Zero Carb...The Graham Cracker is Delish and is only 80 cals per scoop at 20g protein per scoop. Would def. switch GNC Multi and fish oil to something a little higher quality like...NOW ADAM Multi-V and NOW Ultra Omega 3 Fish oil. If you have joint issues I would suggest going with CL Orange Triad Multi-V and there Oximega Fish oils are great also. Good job on the weight loss and if you do purchase anything from here put in the code SHRED10 for 10% off your entire order...when you check out its on the bottom left side for the promo code. If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a PM

Yea I was going to say the same thing. You should really bring your calorie intake above 1500. I would say at least 2000, personally. But at 1500 its still plenty low and you will lose weight.

If you are looking for a protein powder any one under 130 cal or so will do. Search the store for your options. A whey isolate will probably be the least in calories.

As for your lifting, the more you lift the more strength you will retain and also will be burning plenty of calories. So even though you are trying to lose weight you should still lift hard. Hope this helps. Good luck!

    ^^

especially if the goal is to preserve as much muscle mass as possible........

at 250lbs your protein intake should be roughly 200-250g a day, which would be 800-1000 of those calories
    goodbros, always and forever.

Thanks guys. I did order 3 of the 4.4lbs VPX SRO Zero Carb. In the mean time I did get a small packet of pro amp 60 from GNC until I get the VPX. Another reason I am getting this is because last week I kept the same cal intake but switched foods to more Protein in the morning like eggs but couldn't work out as much due to things at work. I was also eating more often during the day. I figured I wouldn't loose much weight. I noticed I lost the same amount of weight but hardly worked out. I am getting excited to see what I can do over the next few months. Thanks again for the input. I really appreciate it.
