How do so many people die in car accidents? (srs)

I'm really starting to get paranoid. Is it because they don't wear their seat belts? I've never been in a car accident so idrk.

Are most of the people that die ,die in 70mph collisions?

Please aware me, because I just can't see how people die (srs)

How do they even die, does the glass from the windshield cut them up so bad?
Why say the sky is the limit, when there are already footprints on the moon? -Unknown

Girls must be at least a 7 for me to look at them crew

Girls must be at least a 9 for me to smash them crew

Blunt force trauma dude. It takes a lot less than 70 mph to get jacked the fuk up from a combination of colliding into the car parts in front of you and colliding into anyone else into the car.

#1 by not wearing a seatbelt
#2 by driving too fast and/or using a cellphone, texting, paying attention to GPS instead of the road
#3 by getting hit by an SUV or similar vehicle that goes right over your bumpers and crumple zones etc
#4 by driving a car older than early 2000s (safety standards have risen exponentially since the 90s, a 1998 5 star collision rating is a 3star in today's standards)

Friend of mine died from not wearing seatbelt, vehicle flipped and he flew out window, then the vehicle (an suv) landed on him and crushed him. Friends of mine with him were able to pick it up.. but couldn't get him out. I would have been there that night if I didn't go do something else (rare around that time) and I've wondered if I would have been able to pull him out and he live.

But I've heard of people dying in wrecks with seatbelts on by being crushed or getting impaled.

new vehicles / vehicles made for the north american or western european markets are a lot safer than that and won't allow a collision at that speed to be fatal.

People die in car accidents because they drive with their heads up their ass. They find it more important to have their face buried in their cell phone or stuffing their hole with drive thru food. Or they could take a couple steps further and drive drunk. Not wearing a seat belt helps a lot too.

It's simple carelessness for yourself or others.

1 - The rapid deceleration of the vehicle causes your brain to slam against your skull, often leading to instant death, or coma / brain damage.

    2 - Being crushed / suffocated

3 - Being impaled by foreign objects and dying of blood loss / organ failure

new cars now have a strong frame that protects you at all time, if you die from a car accident its probably your fault. even if you are driving 80mph, and you crash head on, you still survive, 100%.

drive safe should be ok brah, don't speed, or do crazy sht let the crazy ppl go on there way. I see ppl speeding and doing all kinds of crazy passing and weaving these are the kind of ppl who die in car accidents, then there is occasional ppl who are victims of these retarded drivers and also victims of drunk drivers.

even if you are wearing a seat belt you can be severly injured by the stearing wheel and dash board which could easily cause internal bleeding.

crumple zones are not for fun, they are to reduce the amount of deceleration the body experienced. the smart car is gone of the most difficult cars to crush in an accident but the amount of deceleration you suffer in it will kill you.

so no i'm not mad, your volvo 240 might punch through a newer car but you'll be dead inside it.

This. The seatbelt itself can cause internal damage if you stop fast enough.

usually the impact. depends how bad the collision is, but if you're not wearing a seatbelt, you're going flying outta there (or hitting the chair if you're in the back). if you are, i think the airbag can cause a lot of problems too. also the impact can cause internal bleeding, broken bones, you can get crushed by something if it's bad enough, if the car rolls you can get brain damage, etc. don't be paranoid, bro, if it happens it happens. no good worrying about it, just make sure you drive carefully without being over-paranoid. lots of things about the way cars are designed reduce the risks of serious injury and death in car accidents.

Cars now are much stronger and stiffer. The car is pretty much a non-factor in accidents, its all driver error or distraction.

People who say older all-steel cars are safer are retarded. They may have stiffer external sheet metal, but their main frame is composed of metals just marginally stronger than that. Newer cars have softer exteriors materials to provide a crumple zone, but a very strong frame.

Here is a comparison of new vs old cars in a crash test:

fuk, they should make vehicles more durable
More durable is what kills you. Old cars that were actually steel cause way more trauma to the people inside. Today's cars are designed to crumple to absorb a lot of the impact instead of transfering it to the people.
