Anybody who had TKR or involved in Orthopedics, have a question

Replacement was 8 years ago, but I'd just noticed this recently. I could stand, lock both knees straight, and it always seemed the replacement leg wasn't fully straight. Today after w/o, I sat on the floor, and my "good" leg would lay to the floor, except the crease behind the knee joint, just enough to slip a finger under.

The replacement knee, I can slip an entire hand under, even trying to push my knee to the floor doesn't move it a bit regardless of how much I push.

My question is, is this lack of extension "built-in" to the replacement joint?
