    diet advice

    hi as i am hitting 40 (13 stone ) soon i have taken up boxing ,
    i was told by my coach that i needed to up my carb intake to give me energy and burn fat better ,which i have .
    but now i seem to feel tired more, so i counted up my intake today
    313g of carbs
    70.6g of protien
    2294 kcals
    i start at 6am as a butcher and finish at 3.30pm
    i walk/get pulled my 3 staffies for 30 mins every night
    and box for 90mins twice a week
    any suggestions on where im going wrong would be gratefully recieved as i have no idea

    How much do you weigh? Your protein seems low. Judging by your total cals, your fat is ~70g, is that right?

    Right. Ok, Im not sure what you added up but if you look at the stickies (the top threads of the Nutrition section) there is one devoted to calculating daily macros (pro/carb/fat) and calories based on your calculated BMR and Activity Level.

    Start by reading those. Good luck pal.

    hi i added up the fat content on the stuff i eat and its about 42.7g a day cheers j
