Because there are two sides in Libya right now. The government and the rebels. According to that youtube page, that was a rebel plane that got shot down by the government. The UN set up the no-fly zone primarily to protect civilians against government aircraft.

my question is why are we now just intervening in Libya? we should have been there years ago. Same with Egypt, we have known that both of their governments have oppressed their people. At least Obama has the balls to do something about this instead of fighting for oil in Iraq. We all know how well that went for us. What are we now 13 billion dollars in debt?
