Jordansrt is now a Promera rep, and me and him still keep in contact from when we were both reps for a supplement company. A few weeks ago he asked me if I wanted to try BETA-CRET, a new product from Promera. I jumped at the chance to try. It's Pineapple flavored, one serving size is 1 scoop around 4 grams.
Training Style
Lately, I have been using a low number of sets per bodypart. The weight I try to use is moderate, but I try to get a high number of reps. I workout at home, so using heavy weights all the time is not really an option. Especially with the limited amount of space that I have to work with.
I lift only 3-4 days per week. It's all that is needed in my opinion, so that's all I do.
BETA-CRET marks the first pre-workout supplement I have used in months, so all effects will be ourely BETA-CRET.
First Workout: Saturday March 19, 2011 (7:30 PM)
Seated dumbbell shoulder presses: (weight used was 55 lb dumbbells)
1 x 19
1 x 4
1 x 12
1 x 8
EZ Bar upright Rows: (weight was 100 lbs)
1 x 10
Alternate dumbbell curls: (weight was 55 lb dumbbells)
1 x 6
Product Rating: (2 scoops in 12 oz of water)
Strength: 10/10-Even though I used moderate weight, my first set reps were high, and I felt strong.
Endurance: 8/10- my workouts are short but If I needed to, I could have gone farther.
Recovery: 9/10- No soreness the next day.
Taste: 8/10 I used too much water. I will use 8-10 ounces next workout.

Product Rating: (2 scoops in 8 oz of water)
Strength: 10/10-A few minutes after I take this, I feel strong.
Endurance: 8/10- Higher reps is tough, but I pushed it on the first set.
Recovery: ?/10- Workout one was good recovery. I will see how this is long term.

One arm dumbbell rows: (This was done in the position of a barbell row, with my arms flared out)

Strength: 10/10-Still feeling strong. Energy is great.
Endurance: 8/10- I completed all of my sets without feeling burnt-out.
Recovery: 9/10- My chest is a little sore from the other day.

Fourth Workout: Sunday March 27, 2011 (7:15 PM)
BETA-CRET was taken 10 minutes before my first set.
Seated dumbbell shoulder presses: (weight used was 55 lb dumbbells)

Failed to lift 75 lbers into position....
Dumbbell shrugs: (Weight used was 75 lb dumbbells)(the limit weight for my dumbbells )
1 x 30
1 x 20
Product Rating: (2 scoops in 8 oz of water)
Strength: 10/10-Felt great.
Endurance: 8/10- my workouts are short but If I needed to, I could have gone farther.
Recovery: 9/10- No soreness the next day.
Taste: 9/10 I chuged it but I do like the Pineapple-ness.
Thoughts so far:
BETA-CRET gives me great energy and focus. 2 scoops seems to be the perfect amount for me. I also like the simplicity of the ingrediants. It tastes good, and the pineapple flavoring is very unique.
