http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elizabeth_Báthory
After her husband's death, she and four collaborators were accused of torturing and killing hundreds of girls, with one witness attributing to them over 650 victims, though the number for which they were convicted was 80.[1] Elizabeth herself was neither tried nor convicted. In 1610, however, she was imprisoned in the Csejte Castle, now in Slovakia and known as Čachtice, where she remained bricked in a set of rooms until her death four years later.
Later writings about the case have led to legendary accounts of the Countess bathing in the blood of virgins in order to retain her youth and subsequently also to comparisons with Vlad III the Impaler of Wallachia, on whom the fictional Count Dracula is partly based, and to modern nicknames of the Blood Countess and Countess Dracula.Freelance Web/Graphic Designer and Developer

Controversy surrounding investigation
Some researchers claim some facts were missed, perhaps ignored, by officials:[2][3]
After the funerals, relatives of the deceased claimed that the skin of the victims had a strange brown tan.[1]
In a private interview, a former investigating officer said that his dosimeter had shown a high radiation level on Kholat Syakhl, and that this was the reason for the radiation found on the bodies. However, the source of the contamination was not found.
Another group of hikers (about 50 kilometers south of the incident) reported that they saw strange orange spheres in the night sky to the north (likely in the direction of Kholat Syakhl) on the night of the incident.[citation needed] Similar "spheres" were observed in Ivdel and adjacent areas continually during the period of February to March 1959, by various independent witnesses (including the meteorology service and the military).[1]
Some reports suggested that much scrap metal was located in the area, leading to speculation that the military had utilized the area secretly and might be engaged in a cover-up.[1]Freelance Web/Graphic Designer and Developer

Volcanic activity is frequent in the area.[1] The Eruption of Myōjin-shō in 1953 killed 31 people when the research vessel Kaiyō Maru no 5 was destroyed. Volcanic activity, including the release of harmful gases, forced the evacuation of Miyake-jima in 2000. In February 2005, residents were allowed to return permanently to the island but were required to carry gas masks in case of future volcanic emissions. You either die a hero (Zyzz) or you live long enough to see yourself become a villain (chestbrah)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sailing_stones
Sailing stones, sliding rocks, and moving rocks all refer to a geological phenomenon where rocks move in long tracks along a smooth valley floor without human or animal intervention. They have been recorded and studied in a number of places around Racetrack Playa, Death Valley, where the number and length of travel grooves are notable. The force behind their movement is not understood and is the subject of research.
The stones move only every two or three years and most tracks develop over three or four years. Stones with rough bottoms leave straight striated tracks while those with smooth bottoms wander. Stones sometimes turn over, exposing another edge to the ground and leaving a different track in the stone's wake.
Trails differ in both direction and length. Rocks that start next to each other may travel parallel for a time, before one abruptly changes direction to the left, right, or even back the direction it came from. Trail length also varies – two similarly sized and shaped rocks may travel uniformly, then one could move ahead or stop in its trackFreelance Web/Graphic Designer and Developer

-taylor mountain is basically in my home town/right next to where i grew up.
-my friends mom was approached by ted bundy and asked to help with something because he had a "broken arm" but refused, she only remembered it and connected the dots after he was captured (it was one of his ways of abducting victims)
-he kidnapped and killed victims in an alley way between my fraternity and our annex building, and now because of that, my fraternity and the sororities next to us (from whom girls were kidnapped) have sky bridges over the alley so no one has to walk across it at night
-i often hang out at his former favorite bar in seattle, and rumor is there is a hidden shrine dedicated to him there

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moll_Dyer
Moll Dyer (died c. 1697?) is the name of a legendary 17th-century resident of Leonardtown, Maryland who was said to have been accused of witchcraft and chased out of her home by the local townsfolk on a winter night. Her body was found a few days later, partially frozen to a large stone. Stories say her spirit haunts the land, looking for the men who forced her from her home. The land near her cabin is said to be cursed, never again growing good crops, and an unusual number of lightning strikes have been recorded thereFreelance Web/Graphic Designer and Developer

The Dyatlov pass incident is actually easily explained with an avalanche. They ripped their tent open to get out fast, then were naked because of paradoxical undressing. The orange tan is the result of a naked corpse being exposed to the suns radiation for a while. The missing tongue is easily explained by a scavenger. The strange spheres and radiation were never mentioned in the original reports... it got added in later when the story was passed around as creepy and the telephone game kicked in.

Head injury experiments In the summer of 1942 in Baranowicze, Poland, experiments were conducted in a small building behind the private home occupied by Nazi SD Security Service officer Dr. Wichtmann, in which "a young boy of eleven or twelve [was] strapped to a chair so he could not move.
