Thumbs up Recovering From Ankle Sprain - Leg Day

Good Morning, Afternoon and Evening, Everyone!

My name is Samuel and this is my first time making a thread on Bodybuilding.com. Anyway, I am here to ask the pros (yes, you!) since I could not find many of the answers I was looking for on other websites. I have some concerning questions about how to train my legs on leg day. However, it has been about 4 months since I sprained my ankle therefore I am in recovery mode. Thankfully, the injury was only a Grade 1 sprain. I bought myself an ankle brace, and I have been doing great for upper body, but I am not sure what exercises are safe while in recovery mode for my left ankle. So far I found that swimming and bicycling are great ways for cardio and working the muscles in the legs, but I want to explore more ways to exercise my legs on leg day without putting too much pressure on my ankle. On a side note, I do calf raises without weights. And, yes, I do ankle recovery exercises such as spelling the alphabet with my ankle. Any advice would help. Thank you in advance!

Yes, I have access to a workout gym and pool.
