I'm not saying kill everyone who commits a crime, and I never said that. Stop putting words in my mouth. What I said - and I made it clear - was that if you cannot differentiate between right and wrong, you should learn how to. If your upbringing was so poor that you cannot decide whether or not it is right or wrong to tie up a dog, set it on fire and throw it into an oven and cook it alive, you have issues you need to sort out. And if you can't you should be locked up to protect society from yourself.
They should have known better, and aspired to better themselves, yes. That is what I'm saying. Glad you can read.

Notice everybody saying anything about five years is too harsh is from the South. Must be something in the water? Animals have every right to be on this earth that we do. Just because we are smarter then any other species (on earth) does not mean that we own earth. Some day, our race will get ours. ****ing up this planet so much, throwing the ecosystems out of balance.

No one is ever going to get a stiff sentence for animal cruelty like this. They will be out whenever they get out and eventually do something like this to a human being.

But what on earth could of caused those two boys to do that? are they mentally deranged or are they just deviod of feeling. I heard some where that torturing animanls is one step from they person moving onto humans.

I'm not sure that you understand how f-cked up someone has to be to think that painting a puppy, binding it with tape, lighting it on fire, sticking it in an oven, showing it off to friends, and threatening them with death if they speak is acceptable behavior.
Threat to society. 2 in the chest, and one in the head.
Don't torture them, don't lock them up, none of that business. But it's obvious that their way of life is unacceptable to Western society. I'm afraid the legal system doesn't work on what they could 'potentially do' you can't book someone because they 'could' move onto human beings.
They killed a puppy in a gruesome manner, but they are still very young and deserve some therapy/counselling/a year or so prison time and a second chance at getting their lives back on track.

He's an 18 year old kid. Yes, he's scared. He sees what the state has said about him and I think if you look at what happened this morning you would agree that the state has overreached its case and I would just urge restraint on the part of the public and let the facts play out in court," said Justin Moulder's attorney, Timothy Owens. "I'm confident that he will be found not guilty of these charges."
Thats what their defense attorny said. really how can you defend something so barbaric.
