Best Natural Pre-Workout Supplement?
I'm really interested in a pre-workout supplement for energy, better pump, muscle gains, etc, but I don't want any artificial stuff in it. Anyone know of any really good all natural pre-workout mixes?

the only thing coming to mind for natural energy would be some b12 from a vegetable source, and maybe some guarana(source of caffeine) and maybe some simple carbs like maltodextrin or dextrose to increase glycogen and give you better pumps..
edit: b12 really isn't gonna do much unless your low though.

I doubt you'll find anything like that on the market, I could be wrong, but I doubt it.
Hammer in a bowl of oatmeal an hour or so before you lift, works great.

this is a pretty good formulation you got here. how much u figure it costs per serving? but i dnt really think this is what he was thinkn of when he wanted a natural pre workout. i know there all herbal ingredients for the most part but caffiene (while useful) is a stim.

No "natural" preworkout is going to give you all those things. The artificial things in a typical pwo is not going to hurt you.

All weights were lifted
i wouldnt worry too much into it OP but if you want "natural" i would go for black coffee or just make your own pwo with bulk ingredients

For One, it depends what time you eat your food. Eat High quality protein, w/o high fat content, roughly 1-2 hours before a workout is optimal. Refuel with low GI Cards (Brown rice is a good one) and protein (Chocolate milk is recommended to cover both).
Caffeine, a naturally occurring stimulant, can help you put in your zone. NO2-Xplode's most active ingredient is actually caffeine. We digest NO2 so quickly, that there is no benefit to taking it. Green tea or Coffee is great examples of natural caffeine sources.
Creatine, which can be found in many meats, is proven to put on water weight. little research supports claims of strength increase.
You may also find it beneficial to eat a small snack before the gym, Citrus fruit (has more K than bananas) (simple sugar) and some protein (peanut butter perhaps?) can help fuel you throughout your workout

depends on your context of "natural". I mean, caffeine is a drug. Most products on the market have at least artificial flavoring Id imagine, though most ingredients are naturally occurring.

interest to me as well
This topic is of interest to me as well.
While I love the way preworkouts make me feel prior to a workout and during a workout, I always maintain that question in my head
"Could I do this without a preworkout?"
And I don't generally try to lift so ridiculously heavy that I think I'm getting much in the way of a strength boostfrom my preworkout. I would say that I use them for energy and stamina while working out.
And I have noticed that when i get off the preworkouts, I don't feel the desire to workout as much. Don't know if its psychological o physiological, or both, but i don't like that. Especially when I've spent the last four years stationed overseas on ships and remote islands where preworkouts come through a lengthy shiping process. In the absence, it would be nice to have an equally inspiring recipefrom normal "household" goods.
I think coffee a banana and peanut butter sounds like it might be alright.
I saw one post about oatmeal prior, what are the benefits there?

I definitely agree with this post but creatine is actually part of the number one energy system used in high intensity fast movements therefore supplementing with it is a very good idea as our body burns through it quickly.

Look into Honey Badger. It's a new product out there that is legit and super healthy. Uses stevia which is an all natural sweetener.
